What I don't understand, Adam is the idea that's floating around that the defense cost us the game. I thought they played solidly overall and very well in the second half.AdamJT13;1902075 said:We gave up 230 yards.

That pretty much sums it up.AdamJT13;1902096 said:Everything cost us the game.
The defense cost us the game because Greg Ellis and Anthony Henry couldn't tackle Amani Toomer, letting him run for a 52-yard TD catch.
The defense cost us the game because Jacques Reeves couldn't cover in the prevent D, allowing the Giants to drive 71 yards in 40 seconds for the tying touchdown.
The defense cost us the game because Reeves again couldn't cover, and Ellis couldn't keep containment, leading to the Giants' go-ahead touchdown.
The defense cost us the game because nobody stepped up and forced a turnover.
The offense cost us the game because we couldn't score more than 17 points against a banged-up defense, for numerous reasons (take your pick: Romo's erratic passes and decisions, Crayton's drop, Crayton's half-hearted route, Gurode's snaps, Davis' penalty, Glenn's penalty, Owens' injury, Barber wearing down, Barber not getting out of bounds, the line slowly getting worse throughout the game, Garrett's play selection, etc.).
The offense cost us the game because when we had a first down on the Giants' 22, with the clock stopped at 31 seconds left, with a timeout still in our pocket and with our season on the line, needing a touchdown to win and advance in the playoffs, we WENT BACKWARD AND COMMITTED A TURNOVER over the next series of downs.
Special teams cost us the game because Keith Davis couldn't tackle R.W. McQuarters, letting him return a punt to our 37 to set up the winning touchdown.
The coaches cost us the game because they didn't coach/inspire us to victory.
The fans cost us the game because they're too quiet, except when we have the ball.
There's no shortage of people to blame.
