We can say Dak needs to play better

and he does. His decision making needs to get better. Stop trying to force it and be the single hero. But, it's not ALL on Dak. I recall saying that when we drafted Zeke, he would help our defense out. And for the most part that proved to be true. Our defense has been atrocious. Our coaching has been equally the same. When Zeke is out, we have neglected to adjust and put Dak in position to succeed. There is a lot of blame to go around. Coaching, Dak, Defense, injuries to key people and positions. Changing QB's is not the answer. Better coaching and better defense with quality depth is more likely the answer. And as much as we don't want to here this...it's not going to happen this year. And Jerry the GM is going to have to invest in Free Agents. Not overpay but pay for quality that can be a difference maker. Get some depth. And hope we don't have injuries for next year. When you think about it, we should be in descent shape. We'll have a 3rd place or 4th place schedule. And if I'm not mistaken, we'll play the AFC South in 2018. We should be fine. The sky is not falling. This team is young. The window has time before it completely closes.

Can see dak connects better with wr on the move when t.will gets it going even a little. Didnt get butler involved which was disappointing . one mistake and players become outcasts quickly in Garretts house.

After playing under Garrett, Dak would probably welcome a trade to the Browns.

Typical sophomore slump. One good draft class and new coaching staff and were right in it next year.

It’s amazing that nobody attributes Dak’s success to Linehan last year who developed him slowly and built a passing hand based on play action to maximize his success..

Dallas hardly ran bootlegs or play-action and adjusted specifically for Dak..

And now that teams have taken that away and Dak now has to learn to play from the pocket more and take on more responsibility, it’s Linehan’s fault..

If the receivers can't get open and the scheme can't help them get open, should Dak just throw the ball away the entire game?

I think there is a sensitivity some Cowboy fans need to get over that Dak might not be starting material. He was 4th round pick who opportunity cost is minimal.

TWill clearly wasn’t open on that two point conversion, because.... you watched the all 22...

Well....glad you brought this up since you're lookin at this through rose colored glasses. First of all, if you know football, play-action ONLY works when you have a threat in the running game....Zeke was that threat. And....one issue with Linehan has ALWAYS been he doesn't make adjustments. So, when you have your All-Pro tackle out. And one of the best RB in the league out and you don't adjust....of course he'll get blame. Dak can only play with what the play is called. He can change the play but doesn't necessary mean the play is open. Not only that....we don't have the best route running receivers in the division...let alone the league.

Yep, your right.. BECAUSE of Zeke..

So now teams are not threatened by Zeke and Dak is getting exposed. Imagine Dak with Felix Jones and Julius Jones..

If that's how you see it, then I guess it doesn't matter who's playing QB. Coaches need to get more creative with playing calling and schemes.

You call it exposed. I call it NO HELP! NO QB can do it alone. Remember that

So was it Twill’s fault on the two point conversion when he was wide open?
If you READ my original post, I said Dak needs to play better. But....you seem to choose a few plays. A few games. Where were you last year? The guy is only in his 2nd year.

I was here last year and said it was Zeke and Romo should be playing.. and he was throwing balls at players feet on screens and he threw a horrible pick 6...

I don't think it's about sensitivity at all. I think it's about not changing QBs every two games as some of you would like. OR....just maybe there is a sensitivity on Dak playing QB. 4th Round? Why does that matter? Romo wasn't drafted but I bet you loved him to death....didn't you?

I see receivers creating lots of separation on opposing teams. Philip Rivers, Carson Wentz, Matt Ryan was hitting them all day in the past 3 wks. I see dak having to pass to receivers who are covered very tightly! Remember that stat someone threw out last week where dak is tops in the league when completing passes into tight windows. It's simple, our receivers don't create much separation or the scheme doesn't help them too. Bryant caught a few passes with a defender in tight coverage today. Dak threw into tight coverage to Beasley and got picked. The only play where I've seen a receiver get separation was on the pass to twill. He's a second year qb and he needs all the help he can get. This current situation ain't doing him no favors.
