Free was awful today. Almost got Tony killed a number of times. But heck, we just cannot run the ball! We cannot open holes or drive the defense, even this undersized Niners defense.

You canno win by just passing.

Talk amongst yourselves.

We have to do better in the run game. However I'm not going to say "We Can't" I don't buy into can't

I thought Jason and his hard nosed practices would fix this?

lolololololololololollool

The Jets and Niners have good run defenses. Some of the top run defenses in the league. Our o-line is new. Give it time. I'd rather have the running game come on strong in November/December if we're in the playoff hunt.

And if it wasn't for Free jumping on the Austin fumble with under a minute left after a complete asinine play call by garrett, Dallas wouldn't of had a chance to tie the game with the field goal

We only ran the ball 22 times today, 26 last week against the Jets. Clearly Garrett feels more comfortable passing the ball with our young OL.

I've said this for years...when you have a former QB as your OC, you are GOING TO GET MORE passes versus runs...that's just a QB's mindset. Plus, it's been this way since Romo began starting even under Payton.

You need an O-line that CAN run-block. Right now, we don't have one that is run-blocking or pass-blocking very well.

Your best bet in those cases would be to throw some quick hitters where the WR has a chance against a few guys instead of a RB running into 8.

Where are all the screens, BTW? I wonder if they practiced that so much that they neglected other things....but who knows? But where are those plays?

JG would pass even if we had the AP and the best OL in the NFL.

Lots of optimism on this thread....whatever helps the team right.....
saying that....we do need to run the ball better. I never expected
too much out of the new OL line but they sure need to improve.
