Either we are over rating our players level of talent, or we don't hve quality coaching.
If we had both, the results on the field and the won/loss record would be better.

So which is it ?

I think we have over inflated both the players abilities and the coaching.

If we have another mediore year I sure hope we do a major overhaul of this team and coachng staff.

On offense its either Garretts system or Romo's execution that is underperforming. People say the offense has looked the same since Garret took over, but Romo has been the starter since garret took over. The wr have changed and so have the O linemen and RB.

The 2 constants are romo and garrett -

so which is it ?

Our talent on D was supposedly over-rated and this defense, with Marinelli, looks totally different.

Romo has been here prior to Garrett and our best offense was with a different OC. Garrett has never proven himself outside of Romo. Even prior to Dallas, his only body of work was Joey Harrington and Gus Frerotte at Miami, under Cad Cameron. If you pay attention, this is really a similar offense to Cameron's, but even worse. And the same complaints when Cad were running the show in Baltimore are the same here.

Plus, our only success is essentially when Romo abandoned the game plan and went up tempo. They've had to scrap their game plan multiple times. It is quite evident considering last year, Dallas was amongst the worst in first half scoring and one f the best when game pan was scrapped.

JG is weak sauce, not special sauce.

This team just can't run the ball. They haven't been able to run the ball since Garrett took over. You can make an argument about the personnel and execution, but when you pass the ball 40 something times and run the ball 13 times, the offensive game plan and philosophy is not where it needs to be. Unfortunately, that has been how it is for a long while now.

We have no semblance of a running game, at all. The coaches have said that we were going to make running the ball a better priority this offseason, but it's obvious that that was just a mirage. Tony Romo has thrown the ball almost 100 times already in just two games. That's ridiculous.

Despite the fact that we pass the ball like we do, we don't throw the ball down the field nearly enough. These sideline passes and underneath stuff is all we can seem to get going. I know that we have to take what we can get due to what coverages are thrown at us, but with our weapons on offense, things should be more open than they have been. With the talent we have, we should have the ability to create mismatches all over the field that opens up options in the run and the pass. Instead we have a coaching staff that seems as if they have no clue how to use any of our weapons on offense.

This offense is one-dimensional, non-creative, and unopportunistic. That's on the coaching staff.

We have neither, other than a few exceptions like Ware and Bryant.
