Can't happen. It's impossible. If there's ever going to be a time where you guys muster up the courage for your own plat rather than relying on Gorico to be your backbone this is the week.

Can not lose. Zero chance.

10-3.

Enjoy the bye week.

Sure they can. They lost to Houston before when there was no way they could lose.

I'm not betting that way. But it could happen.

In the case of that 2002 season opener, one could argue the expansion Texans had a better roster than the Cowboys at that time.

I can answer that with two words: "Dave Campo".
The darkest period in Cowboys history was 2000-2002.

Still......

You don't lose to an expansion team in their first ever regular season game, no matter the coach, no matter the GM, no matter the makeup of the team's roster.

Emmitt Smith, Darren Woodsen, Dexter Coakley, LaRoi Glover, Greg Ellis, Dat Nguyen, and Roy Williams were on that team. All were Pro Bowlers at least once in their careers.

That one loss against the Houston Texans is the most embarrassing and humiliating moment in Cowboys franchise history.

For the sake of .....the Cowboys running game averaged 6.5 yards a carry. The Cowboys beat the Texans in total yardage.

The Texans even had two more penalties than the 9 the Cowboys had. The Cowboys defense sacked the Texans twice as many times.

The very first play in the Texans history was a 43 yard penalty for pass interference on Cowboys CB Bryant Westbrook, a six year veteran and former 1st round #5 overall draft pick. The Texans scored a TD on their first ever offensive drive. The Texans very first defensive effort was a three and out on the Dallas Cowboys. This is how the game started.

The Texans second and third defensive effort in their franchise history also ended three and out. Three consecutive three and out for the Cowboys to begin the game against an expansion team playing their very first regular season game in franchise history. Five Super Bowl championships barely wipes away the stench from that miserable game.

A book was actually written detailing that specific game. Thank all the gods they didn't turn it into a musical comedy.

How are we going to win with a QB that sucks like Dak? Didnt you see that pick he threw last week? We need a new QB. How can we ever win with him?

Are you talking about 2001? Lol. That is the only time I remember losing to Houston where it was almost impossible we should have,

To be fair, we were in the middle of the black years of Campo. With how bad we were, not the biggest surprise. The only other loss I remember to Houston was 2018. But Houston was a solid team that year and it was on the road.

Dallas isn't losing this game. Not going to happen. Houston is one of the worst, most pathetic teams in a very long time. They have bottomed out and are at rock bottom with no other way to go but up. Dallas can go out there and just sleepwalk and win this game.

97-99 are as bad or worse than those years. That was the time period where Aikman and Irvin went out with back injuries. We couldn't resign our own free agents much less anyone else's. Jerry and Lacewell were at their very worst. Drafting for backups and the yearly crop of worthless VFA. Trading two firsts for a WR. Reaching for pass rushers. Making coaching hires and draft picks based on media perception.

The capstone was that Houston loss. From there it was just the funny farm with Campo until Parcells comes to town.

Nope. Say what you will, but that expansion Texans team was an NFL team that went through an off season, draft, and training camp. The margin between 16-0 and 0-16 in the NFL is much, much closer than most people realize.

The truly most embarassing loss in franchise history was the "Replacements" game in 1987 where a bunch of couch potatoes beat a Cowboys team with a lot of its star players crossing the picket line to play. They even made a movie about it starring Keanu Reeves.

After the last 20+ years, I can't guarantee anything when it comes to the Cowboys. They have broken my heart so many times and pissed me off. lol
For some reason they cant go out and win the simple games. We should have beaten GB No way we should have lost to them but we did. We blow out Minny then come back the next week and look like a different team.
Cowboys are like a box of chocolates you never know what your gonna get.LOL

This game should be over by halftime, the Texans really are that bad.

They are in full tank mode for the Alabama QB, I doubt they will even put up much of a fight.

I was expressing the opinion of just about every sports writer that wrote a column about the Cowboys most embarrassing losses. The loss to the Texans was #1.

Jerry Jones has admitted that the loss to the expansion Texans was one of only three times a Cowboys loss made him cry.
