We can't run the ball, or we're choosing not to run the ball?

I guess it's both obviously! Bad predictable scheme, poor blocking, bad runners, and no game plan that says we're going to establish the run and stay with it. We want to take some pressure off Dak and actually help him to make the game plan more balanced. Sure it sounds good in the off season where they lie and say they want to run more, but as we can see there's no real plan.

Please give your thoughts, is it both, or just one of the issues!???
First MM has always been a pass happy play-caller. Second, it isn't easy starting two rookie starters along the line. 3rd, we lack any sort of talent at the running back position, 4th, our OL Coach has been a downgrade from Philbin and finally, Zach Martin just isn't his same dominate self.

It starts with a new HC who wants to commit to a running game, one of his biggest hires is to land a good OL Assistant, then you look to upgrade the talent.

We have been going away from the run early because half the games this season we have been playing from behind. Cant get a run game going when you are always having to play catch up. Look at the Steelers game, we ran the ball pretty successfully against a good run defense that is only giving up 81 yards per game, all because we were in the game even with the multiple turnovers.

Coogs,
Unfortunately I think theres a 3rd option in play here. And that is neither we cant run the ball or choosing not to run the ball.
BUT NOT knowing how to run the football.
I mean, the Steeler game gave me my first ever actual run game optimism under the 3 Stooges McFraud, Schott and Solari.

And then the Lions game happened.
And I got nothin'.

There's never been a more inept staff failing to run the ball.

Such a disgrace to the rich history of the Dallas run game.
Absolute coaching malpractice.
Complete failures all 3 of them.

we can not run the ball. the OL is not good. the RBs suck. Zeke is slow to the line and can't get going...Dowdle has no vision. none.

They call less runs because they are one of the worst teams running the ball.
