There were many of us who expected the Saints game to turn out the way it did. I was hoping we'd make a game of it like the Broncos game. But the potential for a blowout was always there. All you had to do what look at the Cowboys pass defense so far this year and the fact that Drew Brees was their QB.

This loss was disturbing, but I was expecting it. The Lions loss bothered me a lot more than the Saints loss did.

Sure. We're all Cowboys fans. We try to spin it as positively as we can.

Speaking for myself, I knew a Cowboys win would be a huge upset in their house. We have all seen them play at the Superdome on Sunday and Monday nights. They are like a machine, steam rolling over their foes.

Our pass defense, with Brees at QB, Payton as HC, in prime time and in the Superdome was a receipe for disaster. Many others as well as myself knew. Those who predicted victory are homers to the point of delusion.

The Saints game was ugly but honestly, we had 17 Defensive guys suited up and of those, several were not starters or even 2nd string. It is what it is. We are going to have a tough couple games ahead of us until we start getting some guys back. Just how it is.

Sure they should play to win, but every game they win huts them long term due to lower draft position. Those thread will start to show up more and more.
