We dont have DBs who can play Zone

Elam was traded because he sucked in Zone defense, even Revel played mostly man coverage in College.our DBs look lost because they are challenging the WRs at the top of the route.this experiment is bound to fail.
Id like to hear the media question Eberflus on this very subject. I want to know his response on trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.

Wilson is not great in zone either.

The Robinson TD was on him.

He had a few drops in zone where he literally runs to a spot. If there is only one receiver there he needs to flow with the WR and hand him off.

I think Thomas needs reps on passing downs.

His pick was outstanding. He did a hell of a job to hold on to the ball. We do not win that game without his pick

Like ” oh we think highly of our guys, they're great, we appreciate the work they put in, we love them and we see great things in them" lol

Clowney to the rescue.
Many fans wanted him for the past 4 or 5 years. Now they have him.
Time to be thankful and see how things workout, we have to get over Micah. We had to get over Ware and other greats!

‘Flus was a bad hire based on nepotism and ‘comfort’ for the owner/GM

The same for Scotty
And Dak
And Fat Mike

and on and on

Nothing new
What’s your problem with the new coach?

The question is less about the quality of players and more about the quality of scheme with said players.

That sounds like a typical non-answer though, and I could see it go that way.

If Eberflus is a good DC, he will figure this out, like Quinn/Zimmer did.

They look lost out there.

But they shut out the Philly WRs in week 1.

Its weird. Is Bland the straw that stirs the drink?
One thing mentioned during the week was Hurts is not necessarily a multiple read qb. He makes a quick read and will then run the ball. Russ went through progressions and made them pay. Maybe styles make fights?

Bland, Elam, and Diggs are better in man coverage. This seems to be another example of a coach making his system paramount to fitting your system to the talents of your players.

Square pegs round holes never work. Eberflus needs to adjust what he does. The rush with just 4 isn't getting home so QBs will pick that zone apart. Add in the fact that you have man corners and it is a disaster waiting to happen.

Man or zone coverage , it doesn’t even matter because the cowboys db’s lose their battle at the LOS. They been doing this for years. Even a decade. Where they’re soft at the Los. They play 10 yards off even on short yardage situation. This has been frustrating me for over ten years. And when they do try to press(which is rare) they usually free release or jsut fail at rerouting the wr off his route. They don’t challenge wrs at all at the Los.

This is why I didn’t criticize Claire so much when others did. At least he had faith(even if it I was too much) in his own techniques to play up on the wr’s.

Throwing all our eggs into the pass rush basket (which is what this is), weeks after trading our best rusher, is asking for trouble.

He needs to revert to man. Doing otherwise is unfair on the entire D.
