The play calling looked the same as last year. The only thing Garrett wouldn't have done (run on 3rd and 6 to set up a manageable 4th down) ended up failing. I actually didn't mind that but if that was the philosophy I would much rather have preferred that to a 53 yard field goal miss. Run on 3rd down. That would make for a easier kick or 4th down attempt.

That looks like a lot of success on first down. LOL

I was certainly disappointed in the play calling, however. Under Garrett wasn't it like 80% run on FD?

Kept the same OC and hired a guy who got fired two years ago because he couldn't win with Aaron Rodgers.

Shocking that the Cowboys didn't set the world on fire. Absolutely shocking.

People were so giddy that JG was gone they convinced themselves that McCarthy was more than he is in reality. That fairy tale is officially over.

ahh so the meddling garett conspiracy theorist see the proof..its KM it was all 2019 and hope MM can get him on track and teach this out of him, if not game 6 is my guess when MM takes the play calling dutys back..MM will not go down on sinking ship without taking the wheel

I thought he did win with Aaron Rodgers?

Our OL was getting pushed around all night. We need to be realistic and realize that when your QB doesnt have time to set his feet and look off a receiver ect, the offense isnt going to look great.
Wentz isnt suddenly a bum QB, the washington team continued to push the pocket into his face. We know it all starts with the OL. We have 2 guys on the OL last night that deserve to start in this league.
Connor Williams was awful all night. Donald doubled his average pressure rate. Having your DT get middle pressure on 35% of the snaps will change the offense.

Now our coaches did fail to roll the pocket away from pressure.....although with Steele getting beat also I doubt they wanted to roll the pocket to Prescotts left side all night.

Overall we need to get better on the OL. I'm afraid we have a OT (connor)playing guard and an undrafted free agent playing OT for the next few weeks.

If we win the next 2 this game doesnt matter because seattle looks like a great team.

Honestly we won’t.

Atlanta had three receivers fo over 100. We made Woods look all world. What the hell are we going to do with Julio and Matt Ryan?

Same with Seattle. Wilson was damn near flawless

I question if we can even beat Atlanta. We should, but we will not get by Seattle, we should beat Cleveland as the looked like trash. We need to see the giants yet, tonight. And now I question if we can beat Arizona.

Woods was catching screens and flat passes all night. We can beat both teams. Both teams dont play that gimmicky offense like Rams do. They push it downfield which will play into our strength. Dline. We'll see

Lol y'all need to relax.

How many think we still do not need PS games?

How much would the starters have played if there was a pre season? Historically, they rarely play past a series or two in each game. So basically, last night the starters played more in the first quarter than they would have played for an entire 4 game pre season

I guess that's a bit of a winded way to say I don't think the lack of pre season games matters. However, the very short training camp probably played a role.

It was still true last year.

They ran into positive fronts most of the time. Very different struggles with the run game.

Under MM and new schemes, they would have played more than Garrett's teams. To get some kinks worked out.
Also players like Steele, Erving, Knight would have had playing time. As well as other backups, as players went down. LVE out, Jarwin out. Those depth players may have been more prepared.
