AMEN!!! We have to stop 3rd and long. I don't know how many times we had them with 3rd and more than 5 to go. If we would have stopped half of them we would have won!

I felt Reeves was our worst cover guy today.

Reeves was fine....in fact he was pretty decent.

Nate Jones blew as per usual.

No pressure in the second half was our downfall.

I think Henry and Tank will help alot.....to me this team needs a receiver before they need another corner.

It's hard to get mad. The patriots are simply a better team. One thing, we really need to get better on special teams. Other than the long runback, Thompson struggled to get to the 20 on kickoffs. We can do better at that position and our coverage units have to get better.

More pissed about the Pats getting that final score. Could of shown some better class there. Not sure what Wade was thinking when he went for 3 instead of 7. The PI, should of never been called, considering that Watkins had established position. Aother thing that bothers me as well, is that they knew this was a big game, and they came out slow again. We need a third CB that can really cover well which MAY be reeves. Henry coming back will help a lot. We are not that far behind NE.

I don't think we're that far either.

Personally - I think we moved the ball on NE a whole lot easier than I thought we could... running AND passing.
We KILLED ourselves offensively with penalties.

And that TD given up after that bogus P.I. was a momentum killer.


Defensively - our nickle defense is horrible. We've got a huge hole back there.
...and Nate Jones is NOT the answer! LOL
That said... don't know if Anthony Henry would have helped much. There was just too much speed out there today.

As far as Jaquez Reeves - he didn't play that bad. That was a perfect throw by Brady to Stallworth on an island. Other than that - I think he played great considering.

Bright side...
I don't think anyone else can do what they did.
Too much Tom Brady and too much Randy Moss.
Makes things easy 4 those other guys....

We start slow because Romo starts slow. I don't care what weapons we may have, but it's Romo that makes it all go. He's ALWAYS been a slow starter and then he finds a groove. This game our defense couldn't get them off the field so not only did we not score, but we dug ourselves a hole score-wise and a big hole time of possession wise.

By the time we got rolling, we were playing catch up and our defense had already been on the field a long time. It was only a matter of time before our defense was just going to fold and in the 4th quarter, they did. Of course, that just happened to be right after we took the lead.

Our defense just HAS to find a way to get them off the field early in the game to give our offense a chance to at least find some sort of rythm.

This is a forum and I'm entitled to post my thoughts and rants just as you are, even if they opposing views. If you want to drink koolaid and think this team is great, the D played great, the O was great, etc. go right ahead. But I'm a realist, and you should be able to see from last year what happens when someone shows the rest of the league how to expose your weaknesses. Until you beat an elite team (especially at your own home stadium) you are not an elite team, unless you sustained so many injuries a win was not possible. That's not what happened here today. Sure the pats go help from the refs, but let's face it: They just wanted it more. When we had the momentum in the 3rd Q we got complacent and they took it up a notch. This had been our mantra every since Jimmy left. And as a fan I'm tired of it and am exercising my right to say so here. And if you think we're going to blow away the Eagles, Giants and Commanders, you are crazy because once again we have proven that a good team can blow us away. We're real powerhouses against team w/ rookie QBs and ones that can hardly stand up. If this was a measuring stick game, the IMHO we haven't moved that much up the ladder from last year...
