I think we went into free agency with a plan, and believe as long as we get someone like Huff, a solid DT, and another OG, we should be good to go. We are not as bad as some people think. we haev a top notch QB, A RB who can take it to the house at any given time, a great TE, 2 helluva WRs and a Oline who should be better than last year with the addition of a top ten tackle...

On D, we got better by signing Ryan, Wade would have did great as a DC but had to many other job to concentrate on as HC... Sign Huff, who adds speed, experience and much needed help, some help for ratliff in the trenches and I believe our D is in the mix for the best... As long as you have the best defensive player in the game, anything can happen.

Given the last few seasons, I dont think they were caught, I think this was their plan from the get go. That is the part that is most bothersome for me. Any plan that includes relying on Holland is flawed to me.

Couldn't be that these are players that the fanbase wanted, and we just passed on. People who don't think we have a plan amuse me. Do some of you not realize how far over the salary cap we were?

You don't have to sign Nnamdi and Jenkins and all the highest priced FA's to improve your team.

Often times the teams that throw out the highest paying contracts to multiple FA's every offseason are the most diappointing teams (see Commanders)

Hell, the way this board is going right now, Jerry might as well call up Roger and tell him we won't even field a team this year.

You guys have your "knee-jerk" trigger trimmed down so it goes off at the slightest hint of the front office not making any movement. First it was we didn't keep Bowen, but we signed Spears. Did you ever stop to think that maybe Rob decided Bowen really didn't fit his style of the 3-4, but Spears did?

OK, so we didn't get Nnamdi. So what! Corner play is not our biggest problem. Safety is. From what I can tell, Sensy, Huff, Elam, Whitner and Pool are still out there. From a DL stand point, Hatcher is still unsigned, so don't rule out him coming back. There's also Jamaal Anderson of the Falcons. Derrick Harvey (Jags) is only 24 and could be someone to be had cheaply and Ryan can work his magic.

There are plenty of OGs out there like Blalock, Waters and our own Davis.

My point is quit running to the cliff everytime an announcement is made. Next time I might be right behind you ... just to give you that extra little nudge.

Not now and not ever.
I suppose the coaches think Holland is better right now than Davis and I kind of buy into that. They might have a chance to pick up a guard at some point if Holland doesn't pick it up but it's time to just chill and let things play out. Besides, we need to see if the draft picks and udfa's can play. I do think we need at least one safety and I think before the next week is out we will have one.
We would have been in cap hell like the 3 5&11 years if we had signed Nambhi.
