We got a GREAT player. Let's just hope we got a GOOD person too.

He is a good kid.

Let's hope man. Everyone needs to keep this kid on a " show me" basis.

Love the pick though. It's exciting as heck.

If talking to an agent and lying are his worst attributes, I'm delighted he's a Cowboy.
I am worried about his "advisor" though. It's the same guy that advised Crabtree to hold out. It was InmanRoshi (I think) who had a good post on this. His "advisor" seems like a con artist. Hopefully we can get Dez to sever his link with the charletan (my vocabulary changes when I drink lol).

Anyway, great pick, Jerry!

Again, I don't think he ever talked to an agent. He met Dieon Sanders which was not against the rules. Problem was when the NCAA wanted to investigate the meeting he lied about it because he THOUGHT he might have broken a rule. The lying was the reason for his suspension.

We may have the toughest pair of WRs to tackle in the league once Bryant becomes a starter. Both of those guys are large and run with serious leg drive.

Indeed. Somewhere all of the defensive coordinators that are on our schedule are collectively balling up in the fetal position.:laugh2:

Maybe, but maybe they are licking their chops at going up against Free at LT.

Unless Free pans out at LT, drafting Bryant isn't going to do us much good.

After our pick, how many times did Steve Young say Austin Miles when talking about our present receivers?

I am sure he said it at least three times.

What a maroon. :laugh2:

Oh, by the way, great pick Jerry !

A 1st and 3rd is a lot to give up but you got a top 5 player at 24.

We did not give up a 3rd we swapped a 3rd for a forth went from 90 to 119 only 29 spot drop

The reactions here and on true blue are totally different.

They're calling him Roy Williams v2 and Jerry is now the worst GM of all time.

Then they are stupid he was a top 10 talent on almost everyone list when it came to pure talent

We did not reach or over pay to move up. That just makes them come off as dumb as a stump. he was clearly the best player talent wise left on the board

Thanks for clearing that up. It doesn't seem like such a horrible offense to me, but he has also been accused of being immature. We'll see.

I'm pretty the sure the Ea-girls are regretting leaving Thomas on the board already.
