Our front office was arrogant and went into this season with an unproven kicker.

If finaly caught up with us tonight and had a direct bearing on our loss.

It's this kind of front office management that has me deeply concerned.

Mods if this post violates some rule,
please feel free to delete , but I woud appreciate a PM lettimg me know why.

Thanks

I agree with you, but am not putting this loss on Buehler....nor this season.

However, I did say before the season began that it was VERY risky to go into a season where you had Superbowl Aspirations and NOT solidify the kicking position. Look at league leaders in scoring and you ALWAYS see kickers in there. Buehler really had no experience kicking FG's, so I thought it was risky going into the season with an unproven one, But I will say that I would keep him. This season was his first one where he's been given these duties and he HAS gotten better, but that XP was just plain sick....but so were/are alot of our WR/TE's missed catches.

The front office did ALOT wrong, IMO....we were the ONLY team do to nothing before the season began with FA.

haha yep, that's the reason we lost the game huh... wow people are very clueless.

Jerry bought the groceries and went with the cheap stuff (or completely ignored some key ingredients) and now the meal tastes like crap

-Right tackle
-Kicker
-Safety
-Special teams players (replacing key ST vets with rookies)

And those are just the basics! We're not even talking about improving the DLine and ILB

We ignored the kicker problem and OL problem and safety problem and coaching problem. There's just multiple areas that were ignored and they all blew up in our faces this year.

Never said its why we lost the game, just that it had a direct bearing.

It is a team game and a loss is never just one players fault.

However his missed PAT was a factor in this loss and if you feel otherwise I respect your opinion.

By the way thats his second missed PAT this season.

I am all for bringing Buehler back next season to COMPETE as our kicker , but
not to annoint him without competition.

Buehler,Ball, Gurode, Martellus Bennet, Roy Williams.
.......All bone heads, no glossing it over.

Keepers-because they have heart and play hard...
Marion Barber, Keith Brookings.

Replaceble if a good alternative can be found....Sensabaugh,Spears, Igor.

Ironic how your pathetic Roy Williams has yet again helped the Cowboys lose another game! And you call him clueless for bashing their pathetic kicker. You should be embarrased!

I said this exact same thing before ONE game was played this year. Where we stand now is absolutely no surprise to me whatsoever. This team has a lot of holes to fill on both sides of the ball and in several coaching positions.

Yeah, that's where we're at.

Our "prize" for this season will be the plum drafting position, which I guess is better than nothing.

Well, it better be spent on a top LT so we can move Free to RT because Mark Columbo sucked horribly last night. He has struggled all season but last night was his worst game yet IMO.

Also, to the OP's point, going into the season with a questionable kicker is just stupid. Since 2000 every SB winner (except 2) has had a top kicker. The only exceptions were last year's Saints and the 2003 Patriots, but while Vinatieri struggled a bit in the regular season, he was money when it counted.

Yes, Sarge , I hate to be a "I told you so "
But I called Buehler , Ball and the lack of addressing the offensive line
out in several off season posts and got a lot of heat for it.

At least I was wrong about Free , he has been a very pleasant surprise this season.
