Oh.. were going to gamble with Pollard. A player that had a bad break and surgery. Zeke got those dirty yards in short and goal situations. Either kept Zeke or draft a back instead of a tight end. This organization makes brain fart decision at times. Hope they learned a lesson and draft a back next season.

This will be our determining factor for failure in the playoffs.

I knew someone was gonna make a post like this.

Get your brains checked.

Anyone watching the game (or this season in general) saw the Lions d-line living in our backfield yesterday. Zeke definitely would not have made the difference.

How’s Zeke and his 3.5 YPC doing in New England?

Seriously?????? You know why Zeke is gone. You need to let it go.

Pollard is fine. He isn't any different than any other RB in this league. They need holes to run through. Consistently getting hit at or behind the LOS is going to make the great Emmitt Smith look bad.

As for next year, Pollard is a FA and the Cowboys have a decision to make.

"They need holes to run through" didn't apply to Zeke on this board.

Really?

99.9% of this board thinks we kept Zeke 2 years too long.

Now they are stupid for getting rid of him.

CowboysZone has the best hindsight I have ever seen.

Zeke's not the issue. Getting a prime RB is.

Zeke wouldn't have helped us ... just ask the Patriots.

What is wrong with our running game. I have noticed that the center gets destroyed on every up the middle run, Martin does not get the push he used to get, Steele/Tyron whiff on blocks and our tight ends don’t seem to block anyone. Is it the scheme?

Outline isn’t good. It’s average at best even when healthy. First possesion for us, aikman ir Buck said the cowboys have an outstanding OLine. Everytime an announcer says that this season, I’m .

What are people seeing that I don’t because every game Dak is fighting for his life and Pollard getting met in the back field or line of scrimmage.

That first interception was because of the oline. Dak had Gallup and Lamb open but couldn’t get the ball out quicker because of the oline in his lap

You guys forget Zeke sucked last year….and is not that good this year….and hasn’t been good in years…so what makes you thinks he would do good behind this line? This line has regressed run blocking wise.

I think the mistake was to not renegotiate with Zeke. He gave us 12 rushing TDs last year. We would be better in the red zone with him. If he would have taken a significant pay cut, we would have been better off. He's not explosive anymore but he does have a role. Even Stevenson was having a bad year. Patriots just suck.

The OL and running game will be the death of this team this year… It’s getting to the point where it’s almost nonexistent.
Next year I’d like us to get 2 OLmen in the first 3 rounds if possible, and we’ll need to draft a RB at some point… Maybe also bring someone in from free agency.
