Even though they didn't like him and didn't think he fit their scheme? The Cowboys made a huge mistake not drafting O'Cyrus Torrence in the 2nd round last year.

The fact that they didn't like him was stupidity on their part.Even though they didn't like him and didn't think he fit their scheme?
He’s just lazy trolling. One sentence post and….REACT!Seriously?????? You know why Zeke is gone. You need to let it go.
Pollard is fine. He isn't any different than any other RB in this league. They need holes to run through. Consistently getting hit at or behind the LOS is going to make the great Emmitt Smith look bad.
As for next year, Pollard is a FA and the Cowboys have a decision to make.
They asked and he said no. Simple as that.
He sealed his own fate in Dallas.
Our lack of a running game and our inability to get the QB and make critical stops will be our undoing in the playoffs. We pressured Goff but only got home once. This will be our determining factor for failure in the playoffs.
We’ve been thru a bunch but I think we need a change thereDitto here.
I cannot imagine going from All pro last year,..to a far lesser campaign, in just the very next year.
and this is not an outside in space OT role,.. it's in a more limited, confined phone booth area
where OGs can play-last into their mid-30s ages. I could understand if it was a lingering back,
knee or foot injury. But I've not heard of any report on Martin in that sense.
We have to look into Solari's scheme and technique-teaching- because that's where I think it clearly starts.
Maybe Solari is not all of it, but it surely starts there, imo.
I expect yet another OL coach change after the season
BTW, How many OL coaches have we've been thru in last 5-6 years ? ( Pollack, Alexander, Columbo, Philibin, Solari)
Zeke is not the answer and Pollard is not the answer. We need new rbs. Most of the good ones come in late rounds now I'm sure we'll be drafting one.
Not paying Zeke was the right move, giving Pollard the franchise tag was also a stupid move.
Both can be true at the same time.
Hilarious! So true.Zeke is averaging 3.4 YPC this season.
That equates to running 4 feet and then falling forward on the ground (~10 feet)
He actually has helped the Patriots.. He's won three games for them when their QBs were crapping the bed. They're .500 (2-2) since he replaced Stevenson. They beat the Steelers and the Broncos, two teams in the playoff hunt and lost to the Chiefs and Bills both in competitive games. There were 2-10 in the games when Zeke was the backup. The Pats line is absolutely horrid but Zeke is just strong enough to fight his way forward for positive yards no matter what. That's what we are missing this year. When Pollard gets hit in the backfield for the most part the play is over. Zeke generally turns that into at least a 2 yard gain. I understand why the Cowboys felt the need to move on from him.. but in failing to replace what he did for this offense they have placed themselves in a compromised state. Many people predicted Rico Dowdle could "easily" replicate what Zeke gave us the last two years. Those people then doubled down in predicting that Dowdle would outperform Zeke this year. Seems like they were wrong on both counts.Zeke's not the issue. Getting a prime RB is.
Zeke wouldn't have helped us ... just ask the Patriots.
Have you seen the Patriots line play this year? Zeke should get a medal of honor for any yards he gets behind that bunch. Especially with the putrid QB play they've been getting. Zappe had 4 turnovers by halftime against the Bills. I hate the Patriots but I feel terrible for poor Zeke. Thankfully he only signed a one year deal with them and hopefully he can land with a team that can actually block next season.2022 Zeke: 3.8 YPC
2023 Zeke: 3.4 YPC
First and foremost replace that weak center. I'm not sure if MM was ever serious about running because the blocking schemes look half-hearted, though that may be because of the OL or pint sized RBs.What is wrong with our running game. I have noticed that the center gets destroyed on every up the middle run, Martin does not get the push he used to get, Steele/Tyron whiff on blocks and our tight ends don’t seem to block anyone. Is it the scheme?
