Not sure if that was common knowledge or not, but I was listening to the Huddle yesterday and they interviewed Keenan Burton. When asked which teams were interested in him, he said he'd just gotten back from visiting the Cowboys. I liked the guy's attitude... He sounded confident without sounding too cocky or like he already knew it all.

Also had an interview with Red Bryant, though I missed the beginning. I had to like how he said he loved taking on double teams and playing the run, and how his two favorite players were Casey Hampton and Jamal Williams. Of course we know who Williams' defensive coordinator was for a few years.

Back to Burton, I think he could be a pretty good player. He makes a lot of plays on the ball and has good speed and quickness. Good kickoff returner, too. I think he could be a Greg Jennings kind of unheralded guy who is better than people expect.

Is it me, or does anyone else like the prospects we're bringing in this year? Seems like a good group for the most part.

CL, do you have the full list of invites from this week? I cant find it.

Burton would be a great pickup. As long as he stays healthy, he's money. I watched him during his entire UK career. He's fast (not lightening fast, but fast enough) and he's strong. He also has a very mature attitude and would be a great team player with a willingness to learn and get better. I'd love to see him wear the star.

If we don't draft a WR early and Burton is still available in the 4th round, we'd better take him. If we don't, I'll be pissed. He's be such an upgrade over Austin and Hurd. Don't forget, Burton played his entire career against the best competition in the nation on the college level. Hurd and Austin sure as hell couldn't say that.

Don't give up on Austin just yet. It's rare to see such a young receiver get the separation he did last year. Sure he's had some big drops last year, but I chalk that up to nerves. I doubt he'll ever have great hands, but I don't think it'll be as bad as what he showed last year.

Hurd on the other hand, I think he's ceiling was pretty low to begin w/ and he's reached it already. I'd be mildly shocked if he makes the team this year.

Hurd has shown much more than Austin and I'd be surprised if Austin makes the team.

There's no doubt that Hurd's been more productive, but I think Austin has the better long term potential. JMO.

I actually like Burton. I had been keeping my eye on him.

Burton is one of my favorite WRs in the draft actually, I would be thrilled if we got him.
