.... we hate on JG, some more than others. Some even clamored for Jon Gruden. Why? Gruden took a team built by Dungy and staff to 1 SB (the year of the inheritance) then nothing. In fact Gruden, in his career as a HC Gruden's teams were a combined 14 games over .500. Pretty much the same as JG coached teams with 12.

Fact, JG coached teams are 12 games over .500 over the past 8 years as a HC. 10 games over .500 if you throw out 2010. Only a handful of coaches and teams have had a better W/L record over the past seven years. Those teams are NE, Pittsburgh, Green Bay, Seattle, Baltimore, Denver, New Orleans. There are 20 or so teams who have had fewer wins than the Cowboys over those 7 years.

I don't know about the majority of Cowboy fans but that tells me that HC changes rarely change a teams W/L record. If it did, 20 or so teams would have a better W/L record than JG coached teams over the past 7 seasons because most of them have had at least one HC'ing change.

Discuss among yourselves

Again, all we're accomplishing with this is glorifying a regular season record. The real coaches come out in the post season, and Garrett isn't one of them.

So go out and find me a Bellichic, Tomlin, McCarthy, even Payton and definitely Zimmer. I don't want any of the rest, including Gruden and Andy Reid

Okey dokey smokey. As you say, 1 SB in 9 seasons . Sorry to correct you but.... for Chucky...1 AFC Chanpionship game lost, 1 AFC divisional game lost, 2 NFC wild card games lost.... 1 SB. Get your facts straight

One Super Bowl for a city that never won a dam thing. I really don't get the argument. Knock Gruden to build Garrett up? We'll see what he does in Oakland but it won't be surprising at all if he's better than Garrett without a 10 year rebuild. With this team it's a lack of talent, injuries, assistant coaches suck, can't mange the clock, new scapegoat every season, new excuse year after year.. I guess some don't tire of the same garbage.

Name the real coach you're going to replace JG with ACR. Then we'll talk. BTW, they have to be looking for a job

i ll be happy to replace him with a young guy who brings in his own staff and puts in his schemes and philosphies. Id give him 6 years so show something or out the door he goes.

I'm not building JG up. He is what he is, as good as or better than 25 other coaches in the NFL. Now I know you don't think seasonal records count for much BUT ask those 23 teams who haven't had a sniff of the playoffs or won as many games as JG. Name your next coach

You're hoping for Jimmy Johnson. Right of college guy. Got some news, Pete Caroll wasn't successful right out of the college ranks, neither was Saban. You guys keep yapping and ranting for a new HC. Give me a proven name. One available that is. Not Dungy. Not Cowhwer, not Jimmy. They all have cushy broadcast jobs. Put you cards on the table and ante up

10 games over .500 over an 8 year period is really not as impressive as you're trying to make it.

find an assistant. One who worked their way up. Patricia will go to the Giants and be a better coach than Garrett. So you're suggesting they just don't look to upgrade at all because it could be worse? I think there are lots of coaches who can take this line and run game and go further than where Garrett and Linehan has taken them.

first of all, try not to assume, you know what it does, also doesnt make your argument any better.

Who says i want a proven name, ill try a unproven guy, who has no loyalty to the FO, and give him 6 years. at no point did i say i wanted a proven guy.

Garrett has done next to nothing with more talent (especially in the QB category) than most coaches are afforded. When he hasn't had first rate talent, he has not only failed, but failed miserably --> 2015 without Romo, 2017 without Lee, Zeke, and Tyron for half or nearly half the season

Garrett, IMO, is as uninspiring as any head coach in football. You simply cannot qualify for the playoffs only twice when you get the type of QB play Garrett has gotten - Tony Romo (sometimes top 5 and ALWAYS top 10 QB in the NFL) and Dak (2016 performance was other wordly, 2017 not great). 2 playoff trips in 7.5 years is completely unacceptable.

Name him and support your claim

On you dude. Name your guy with support

In one of the interviews by Gruden, he specifically mentions one of the first things he wanted work on is to get a scheme to fit D. Carr's talents so he has best chance to succeed.

This is what JG should have done with Dak after 2016 season instead of still running the "Romo friendly" offense in 2017.
I just read Stephen Jones saying that they will try to get the offense to be more Dak friendly and move away from Romo's offense next year. Year too late.
