but there also so many players who really helped make these great players and I'd like to somehow find a way that they should be honored/not forgotten. There must be a way the Cowboys can honor the memory of some of our really good even if they are not ROH or HOF quality players.

Does anyone know how Jerry Jones plans honor our greatest players in the new stadium? Will he still put their names up around the stadium as is done at Texas Stadium?

Couldn't the names of other memorable players also be honored even if it's only on the many columns supporting this structure through which the fans enter our new stadium. Their names, dates they played for us & positions would be posted. If not there, maybe some of the seating sections could be named after these players or even seats/tickets to the stadium could be named after them.

Don't mean this to be tacky or anything, it's just that players like Moose Johnston, Darren Woodsen, Jay Novacek, Charles Haley (?) & a few others helped made our team of the 90s. There certainly were some other good players in the earlier years who also made major contributions who wouldn't be remembered in either the HOF or ROH like Harvey Martin, Lee Roy Jordan, etc. We do need to make sure this number doesn't get out of hand.

Who would you include in this list and any ideas about how Jerry Jones should keep their memory alive not that Jones (for all of his supposed love of the Cowboys) has gone out of his way to particularly remember of older guys but, who knows, he might be more willing to do something if it comes to his guys. BTW: Has Jerry/Cowboys ever had an Oldtimers Night or the Early Cowboys Night to honor these guys not only our ROH & HOF but some of the others? He could publicize a certain home game where those players from the 60s could be celebrated and maybe have their driven around on the field so fans could see these players again. Another home game could be the players of the 70s, etc. These players could be guests of the Cowboys at the game en masse before the program, etc .

Wade talks about wanting our players to come and talk to the team and make him a part of the Cowboy organization. Why not do something involving the fans, etc.

I'm pretty sure the new Jerryworld is going to have a huge display hall with all kinds of tributes to our best players and teams...

I like the idea of naming seating sections after players, though. That would be cool. :)

Ditto. I think that's a fantastic idea. First dibs on a seat in the Staubach section! :D

Unfortunately, not every GOOD player that fans like can be recognized. It would be nice, but every team has hundreds of GOOD players that fans like...giving something to everyone would be annoying.

The New Stadium is Going to be Huge. Have a Cowboys Hall of Fame On Site. Have the Ring of Honor like in Texas Stadium.
But have a Hall of Memories Type Set up. For the Clint Longleys, The Golden Richards, The Ron Springs' The Players that are part of Cowboys History but Not as Pronounced as Shall we say A Leroy Jordan.
Those Huge Asss Screens I've been reading about Keep a Historic Reel Looping on It Telling Patrons to be sure and Visit the Hall of Memories, Sell Old Players Jerseys, Dvd's of Old Teams Ect Ect Ect. It would be huge.
