I mean it was already obvious, but listening to a lot of these interviews on dc.com, I'm seeing we have a problem that needs to be addressed.

There is this concept where its said plain and clear there is no accountability, and some players are just content. There are players who have their long term contract and they aren't cutting the mustard.

I don't know who these players are, its not that easy for me to see. But apparently there are a few of them.

My first guess is its guys like

Leonard Davis
Mike Jenkins
Orlando Scandrick
Alan Ball
Andre Gurode

maybe Marc Columbo

I'll probably getting torched for bringing this up. But there are players who don't care enough on this team, and this becoming pretty well documented.

To keep it short and sweet, I think the problem with this team is:

1) They're a collection of top talent that in their own right are are really good player.
2) They obviously have the perception that they think they're a good team. Really good players don't always translate to good teams (i.e. past Skins and Raiderr teams). They have no right to think they're a good team, they haven't done squat.
3) there is nobody bringing them back down to earth telling/reminding this team what it really is

I actually believe Davis and Gurode care. Columbo definitely cares. Too bad caring doesn't always translate to playing well.

I agree, fan attitudes are a problem. :D

yeh, it's the fans fault that the players think they're freakin' all world, even though they havn't won diddly squat

everybody is sick of the self adulation comming from players that can't play football

Fans can whine and complain all they want. It's totally their right and if it causes the players to absolutely SUCK on the field then those players are mental midgets anyways and would be better off gone.

How people can sick back and bash fans for believing their team sucks WHEN IT DOES, is beyond idiotic in every conception. These men that play for the Cowboys make a lot more money than most of the people on this message board. They get paid to play at the level we EXPECT. Like Mike Ditka to Jenn Sterger. I have no sympathy for those clowns.

See the smiley at the end of my post?

Know what it means? It means that you didn't get it.

Got you too.

There are enough attitude problems going around for almost everyone to get a little piece of the blame.

I posted this in another thread but it seems more appropriate here.

Neither talent nor skill have much value if they are not accompanied by a positive attitude, determination, hard work and the motivation to do whatever it takes to win and never give up. So far this year I haven't see as much of that as I would like to from this undisciplined mob passing itself off as a team.

All of the talent and skill of the players on this team are wasted if they don't get focused enough to win games. It matters less how great a player is and it matters more that the team wins.

You play like you practice; after all, practice is preparation for play. If you practice hard, you play hard; if you practice soft, you play soft. If you practice full speed, you play full speed.

You can't be overly concerned about injuries, that'll only slow you down and sends the wrong message to the team. Football is all about asserting yourself and not cowering in fear of injuries. Coaches need to instill confidence not timidity.

Good luck on the field is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.

JMO.

Life is good, anyway.

That's right. Just ask Jay Cutler. Don't worry about injuries, just go out there and play. If you're o-line can't block the Giants, don't worry about it. Leaving in a tight end or two would only show that you are cowering in fear of injuries.

It is a great luxury to have you on this board. I mean, to have someone that intimately knows each player, and how they prepare for a game is great for this board.

Be a fan, but don't be a fan that thinks he knows everything from the recliner in your living room.

If anyone here gets a check for this kind of silly monopoly money they might let it go to their head or say anything to keep the cash cow milking it.

There are other guys who would step in ring for payday. Time is short

You have no evidence of this, other than the fantasies conjured in your mind.
