In 2011 in NY. Win and in. Result: a loss
In 2009 in PHI, win and in. Result: a loss
In 2012 in Wash, DC.... Result: ??????

I guess you don't have the photographic memory. 2009 cowboys won last game for NFC East title against Eagles, and won the very next game in playoffs against Eagles.

It was 2008 that they lost bad to Eagles.

It's not looking good at all. These things always favor the home team. At least next year we should be at home...hopefully the next two years but the NFL always loves to screw us with the schedule in two ways - the early bye and finishing the season on the road.

Guess not on the photographic memory. But if my regular memory serves, I believe the score of the game was 40-8. I just want for us for us for once to come out on the top of these winner take all division battles.

Maybe we'll lose...but I'm happy to be playing for it. If someone would have told me after we lost to the Falcons (we were 3-5) that we would be in a position to win the division in the last week of the season, I would have thought they were nuts.

I'm going to enjoy this week....I plan to avoid ESPN (no doubt they'll be drooling over RG3) and just enjoy the moment. If we don't win, we'll have a long off-season to carp and whine. Not going to listen to it this week.

Go Cowboys! :skins:

We also usually play bad in December but not this year. So who knows. I think it's going to be a close game. If RG3 plays next week like he did today, I think we win.

Still you are not getting it. I just gave you that 2009 last game was winner takes division and they just slapped Eagles around. Thats then.

Its so easy to say heart/guts yada yada cliches. Look at the battered team and the stuff they had to deal with. Appreciate the fact that, with all the adversity, they are still in position to get in.

I don't think they will, due to all the injuries, especially if ware is either out or severlly limited ( no matter if he is not his dominating self, he still changes how the offense plays the D by his presence). Only chance they have is, the Offense just has dominating Time of possession and also score points on them.

And thats the game plan they need to have, and anything good D does would be gravy.

Actually it was 2008 when we lost to the Eagles 44-6, but I get your point that we usually lose these "win and in" games.

Lets hope we break that trend next week.

I just noticed every single one of those games is away . The nfl always screws us with scheduling .

Deadskin haven't beat us on Thanksgiving until this year. What happened in the past doesn't mean anything this year.

This team has a lot of warts and bad in many areas due to injuries. But unlike the teams from past few years, one thing that's different is that when they get punched in the mouth, they fight back till the end.

I think he's saying there's a pattern, and the pattern suggests we're going to win.

Just kidding. I don't care what he's saying. Other fans have rolled over quicker than he has, and they had their facts right while rolling over. Yeah, Cowboys!

I agree, past performance does not guarantee future perfomance.

Sure, based off previous history, playing a divisional rival on the road in a "win and in" scenario on SNF has loss written all over it, but I am not going to just write us off automatically.

In fact, I actually see this more as a parallel to the 2009 season when we won in this situation than anything else. That year, we beat the Eagles on SNF to clinch the playoff spot and take revenge for the meltdown the previous year. This year, we have a similar chance of sorts to avenge last year's Giants loss with a Commanders win.

The only difference was that Eagles win came at home. But let's be frank, do we really feel any worse having our team go on the road given our pedestrian home record at Jerry World?

I actually am glad the game is on the road, we suck at home.

We don't really have a home field advantage anyway.
