I can't believe all these 7-9 and 6-10 projections. Let's not forget, this team was a stupid Roy play away from 6-2 under Garrett LAST YEAR.

And, we have improved tremendously since then.

Romo > Kitna, huge improvement

Choice/Murray > Barber, again big

Smith/Holland > Colombo/Bigg, should be big as well

TE/FB -- Chapas and Phillips > Gronk and Whoever

Bailey > Buehler

Lee with another year and Carter > Brooking (esp on the nickle)

The safeties we sign (probably Elam and another) > Ball by far

CB is about the same, but Ball as 4th CB > McCann

Not to mention, we have Rob Ryan > Wade -- this is huge! Our D will not be predictable.

Spears and Lissemore were injured at the time ... Now we have them and Coleman. We lost Bowen, but this is probably a push overall for Dline.

WR? We lost Roy, but we lost Dez during that time and he is more seasoned now. Maybe a slight downgrade...

Only spots we are potentially worse are Dline and WR, and both of these are minimally worse. We lost 1 1/2 sacks from Bowen and Roy's 20 catches and 20 drops. Whoopie!

So, we were 5-3, almost 6-2, under Garrett, we have all these improvements, plus an easier schedule. Seems to me like big improvement, not another 6-10 season.

7-9 would be a small miracle. With the pass pressure on Romo and no running game, actually thinking we could be in the Luck sweepstakes 4-12?

When will you respond to any of the points above. Romo's protection will be better w/o Colombo and Bigg who both ranked near the bottom at their positions

We were a 10 win team with proper head coaching and discipline. Also better defensive gameplanning. Seem to have everything fixed now on that front so I expect atleast 10 wins this season.

finally another person with some optimism about this season!

This is how I have been looking at it in the back of my mind. You are assuming thought hat we do sign safeties, which I really hope we do. We also cant assume Carter will do anything this season with his injury, and then Bailey is a rookie who has only gone through two practices.

I love the optimism though, we need it tbh

That's pure speculation at this point, Holland is at best a lateral move and Smith is a rookie

As long as we don't run that ******* draw on 3rd and long anymore, it will be on..

I think a 10 win season is definitely attainable. If they stay focused, and free of unnecessary distractions.

Well, there is zero reason to think Smith won't be better than Colombo on his last leg.

And even if Holland is lateral move, this is an offense that put up big time points last year, even with kitna.

Whatever makes you sleep better at night. We still need impact players at the Safety position. JAGS won't cut it. I can't say the team has done enough to give me confidence that they will be much better than last year.

Laughing is not an argument. It's an excuse for a lack of one.
