Just watching the Saints with Taysom Hill wildcat package. TD pass from Brees to Kirkwood wide open because of a great play design (fake WR screen to Thomas with Kirkwood blocking). Rams running all kind of jet sweep motion and reverse motion. Pats getting WRs open all over the place by dictating matchups.

It all matters. It all confuses defenses. It all makes for big chunk plays and easy TDs.

I won’t even just blame Linehan. Because we’ve never had this in the Garrett era.

Linehan could have added it. So, yeah, I blame him as much as Garrett.

It really blows my mind because the early Garrett years this teams offense kept teams so off balance. Garrett was a master at screens & draw plays.

But....... Garrett was COY. For doing absolutely nothing.
And Sean Payton getting outcoached..or nevermind, probably whatever coach wins the weekend is your favorite..tool.lol

No, not really. I simply hate Garrett. I don't a have another favorite.

I dunno. We had a Wildcat package even when we didn't have a proper wildcat QB to plug in there years ago. I'd argue that, with our run-pass options for Dak, we're doing a good chunk of that stuff in the last few years... it just seems like less of a gadget when you're running it with your standard personnel like we have. We also spent years running jet sweeps and fakes to the Luckys and Switzers and Austins of the world.

And when we ran specialty gimmick stuff, our fanbase usually says something like, "Ugh, Garrett and Linehan are such trash for having to rely on these gimmicks. Just call a straightforward play and execute it, you hacks."

It’s not about the wild cat package.

It’s about our offense having too many tendencies and not dominating teams off of our run game.

Did you see the confusion in our defense yesterday? They had no idea which way the ball was going until they were 7 yards downfield.

It’s not a bad thing to confuse a defense. We should try it.

I do not know how I feel it is irksome that basically our defense is facing a QBs and OC/HC at the line of scrimmage. Wade was going to sellout to stop the run and the passing game is not polished enough to take over a game.

Don't worry; we will see "new wrinkles" on offense next season.
