They wanted to be a 3-4 under Rob Ryan. I guess it never took hold. Now they're just confused.

Maybe that's why I thought they were a 3-4.

Yay, 4k posts!

We'd be home if we faced them.

Positive we'd do better than we did last time.

yeah maybe so...alot of those games were away....if we could beat the pack and then had to play the saints or vikes...domes teams...4-3 teams...i think we would have a good shot if we played to our potential....if we stay healthy....next 3-4 team...the chargers....

Looks like we could be playing the pack in the 1st round of the playoffs and we are 0-2 against 3-4 teams this year....8-1 against 4-3 teams....maybe one of the other teams plays a 3-4 that we beat, i cant remember...we also lost a few games last year to 3-4 teams...the steelers and ravens...it is something that is a problem with us...we need to find a way to beat them...dont understand why its a problem. They play against one everyday in practice...but we dont tackle in practice...that could play a part. I think blitz recognition is a problem to our O line. Time to get on it Wade.

Yet we practice against one every day. Who woulda thunk it?

ALSO the cards ran the 3-4 last year, we lost ...like i said pitt and the ravens did also...we were like 2-3 against 3-4 teams last year....0-2 this year...2-5 the past two years...something is up there...

Cleveland and SF plays the 3-4 defense...how'd that work out for them against us?

I went back to 2007, Garrett's first yr. We havent faced the 3-4 that much, But here are the results:

2007 2-1 (loss to Pats, beat Miami and NYJ)
2008 2-3 (lost to Cards, Steelers and Ravens, beat Browns and Niners)
2009 1-2 (beat KC, lost to GB and Denver)

I'm not sure there's anything you can really draw from it. It's only 11 games out of a total of 43. (44 if you count playoffs) We lost to the Pats, more because our defense couldnt do anything that day. We probably could have hung 40-50 on the Browns last yr. We had almost 400 yds against Arizona and Romo threw 3 tds and no picks vs their defense. The Steelers and Ravens losses were late last yr, and Romo was clearly playing hurt, as wer Jason Witten. We didnt have Felix Jones or MBIII for either of those games. for the Denver game this yr, we didnt have Jones and MBIII was nowhere near 100%.

If we play the Packers in the playoffs it will be a home game, they're far less scary away then they are at home
There's a reason we've only even won once there

This has already been discussed, and we really havent played there that much.

For a long time when we played them the games were in Milwaukee, and we won alot of those.

well 5-6 is nowhere near the record against 4-3's...we obviously have a problem against 3-4's that are run right and in the playoffs we could see one...the pack...dom capers has our number too...look at his record against us...we had better get ready for that....it could determine our season..the problem is blitz recognition and we have problems with that in the 4-3 too...it shows up more in the 3-4....we have to get this fixed...and quick!
