...because if we don't win, our chances of making the playoffs go down at least a bit. I have a signature bet with a massive Cowboy hater on another board. If the Cowboys don't make the playoffs he gets to write my signature for a week, and if they do make the playoffs, vice versa. It could get ugly if that guy writes my sig.

So ... JUST WIN, BABY!

3 wins and 2 losses would make us 10-6. So I think we can still lose to the Giants and make the playoffs, even be division champs if the Giants lose NFC games down the stretch.

Winning this weekend would give us a leg up on the division crown, that's for sure.

Losing will not destroy our chances of making the playoffs....I think everyone agrees with that.

But losing this game will go a long ways to showing me that we're not going far in the playoffs if we do wind up going.

I want the Cowboys to be an elite team again. I'm a little impatient for this to happen. I will be very disappointed if we lose.

Atlanta, Carolina, and Tampa still have games left against each other. We need to TCOB with the giants, because the rest of our schedule really sucks. Even the crappy teams are pretty good. I can tell you I'll be feeling pretty uncomfortable every sunday for the rest of this season, especially if we happen to lose one of these gams coming up.

Couldn't have said it better my self Bizwah. This game is as much about what we are as it where were going.
A loss would drop our chances of winning the NFCE to about 25%. Even in that senario were probably be no better than 10-6 NFCE champion and hosting a wildcard game as the 3-4 seed.
On the other hand a win gives us a bigger advantage than the giants get with a win.
We could drop two of the last four, finish 10-6 and still almost certainly win the NFCE.
However, I believe a win Sunday will propell us to no less than an 11-5 finish and a 50/50 chance of securing the #2 seed.

My ideal senario has us winning out and finishing 12-4. This guarantees us at least the #2 seed. With a little help from Philly and the Colts against Seattle, maybe even the #1 seed.
