We have way too many draft picks, we "MIGHT" get one or two starters out of the draft and even that is iffy

Start wheeling and dealing, move up into the first twice, second twice, trade for guys like Earl etc...

Do something...i know some of you guys are draft draft draft, but outside the first round we really dont have a very good track record of getting starters

Can't say I agree. You look at the last five drafts:

2017 Taco, Awuzie, Lewis, Switzer, Woods, White, Ivey, Brown, Carroll
2016: Zeke, Jaylon, M.Collins, Tapper, Dak, A.Brown, K.Fraizer, D.Jackson, R.Gathers

2015: Jones, Gregory, Green, Wilson, Russell, Nzeocha, Gibson, Swaim
2014: Martin, D.Law, Hitchens, Street, Gardiner, W.Smith, Dixon, Bishop, T.Mitchell
2013: Fredrick, Escobar, Williams, Wilcox, Webb, Randle, Holloman
Average:
3.2 starters
2.4 role players
2.8 busts
8.4 picks per draft

I've projected a bit with Taco developing into a starter but he played 400 snaps this season and you'd expect that to increase. I think with 10 picks it's reasonable to expect 3-4 eventual starters and 2-3 role players that play a part on the team but maybe do more on ST. Certainly, it's worth standing in the first 4 rounds and picking, we've had a very good strike rate there. We've done a better job after that when we've targeted ST guys, specialists and project players after that, the odd skill player but stay away from O & D linemen. They haven't been great for us late in the draft.

You start doing this we blow our whole draft. We’ll get 3 starters more than likely and hopefully 3 or 4 depth guys. We need upgrades everywhere.

Sure. Have no problem moving one of our 6th round picks and/ or our 7th for a vet that doesn’t fit on a certain team but i don’t really want to trade our Earlier picks before the draft unless it’s an elite all pro like Earl Thomas.

I think we can get 5 starters in this draft.

If you consider 1 Tech a starter even though he probably would not technically be on our team.

We can also add a significant role player as well late in the draft with a change of pace back. Phillip Lindsay, Chase Edmonds, Justin Jackson etc.

I believe White is still on the team

Ya right...I would bet a million dollars against that

Depends how the first round falls.
I fully expect us to draft first 3 rounds as they are. Only exception would be if a player we want falls, and they trade up, similar to Dlaw (and I didnt like that to start with). Maybe can use the comp. Picks to move around in 3rd, 4th or 5th rounds.
But I think the results of drafting Awusie, last year will show Jerry that the 2nd round is not just for injured players after all.

Yeah it probably will not happen but with 10 picks and an extra receiver on the roster to use as trade bait, I think it is possible.

1. One of a long list of guards or tackles that would start immediately.
2. Bates III starting FS
3. A long list of LB's should be available that would start over Damien Wilson
4. A SS will be available in the late 4th that could start on this team.
4b. Several 1 techs will be available that would be considered our best 1 tech.

That is 5 easy and you even have 5 more draft picks plus a WR that is expendable on the roster to trade up with.
