Jimmy had complete control of the roster. The divorce came when Jerry tried to change that. The rest is history. Jerry’s a clown proven over the long haul. What did he build exactly? He wasn’t the GM.

Jimmy had complete control in Miami too.... and he won how many without Jerry??? Exactly....

Im not saying Jerry is the sole reason for the success of the 90's, but im not going to say Jimmy deserves ALL of the credit by himself either.

We haven’t had a GM since Jimmy. Jerry is a terrible GM and has a trap that wont stay shut. He has no idea how to be head of football operations. He just blabbers away every day about nonsense as if he know what he’s talking about. Shut the trap! Until he steps down and lets a real GM run this team we will always be assured everything is great but will never really be prepared to win the big game again and if and when his mini- mo rises to the position by death or appointed nothing will change. A fan since’63

We haven't had a decent HC since Jimmy either.

lol he didn’t have complete control. The owner forced him to keep Marino and it was a terrible sentimental decision. Jerry getting credit means absolutely nothing to me. That could’ve been different if he shown any signs of competence in 30 years. He had plenty of opportunities to show his football acumen. He has shown none at all. Just funny.. people still campaign for his slice of the credit! Who else does that around the league? Who cares enough to worry about the owners credit?

They'll crap on the HC just to get their point across. Like it isn’t crystal clear when you listen to them both speak. One is a legit football coach the others a complete fraud.

Jerry is not a football man, that's the one phrase that gets under JJ skin, if people would heckle him about that, and that includes the media, the better chance we have at actually getting a real GM, the same can be said for his clown son.

I don't think its people campaigning to give Jerry credit. Jerry earned his portion of credit on his own. With that said, lets put it like this...

Jerry was smart enough to hire Jimmy. Jimmy didn't just put himself in as a HC, that was Jerry's decision. Thank God he did because Jimmy is a HOFer that have helped to do some incredible things in Dallas. Jerry couldn't have done it all without Jimmy.

And vice versa.....

I get your point, but football and basketball are different.

But you'll have some that says the owner was smart enough to hire the GM who hired that coach and player. So it still circles back around to giving the owner some of that credit.

It all started with Prince Bandar Bin Sultan ...... Jimmy was trying to have an important team talk heading into the Superbowl and Jerry barges into the locker room with this guy in tow to meet the players ........ That's what Jerry thinks is important.
True . Especially that bandar helped Jerry in some financial aspects of buying the cowboys. Not many people know this. Bandar was a power player and not shy to use football for access and for hosting VIPs and in lobbying . Jimmy asked the prince and Jerry to leave the dressing room shortly afterwards with his guards and assistants . Jerry lost it .
I still think jimmy was trying to leave anyway due to better money and due to Jerry’s meddling all the time . Jerry’s ego led him to believe he can win without a real football GM and coach . Feel bad for barry Switzer, he was thrown to the wolves , out of retirement to coach this team .

Our best hope is that Stan Keonke ( rams owner, Jerry close friend, and much more richer and successful than Jerry ) tells Jerry to just get out of the GM biz and follow what Stan is doing .,ie, hire a real GM and a real coach .

Jerry lies about willing to do anything to win another superbowl.

Ask him if that trues, does he think he is the best GM in the NFL?

If he says yes, he's lying, if he says no, then he's lying about willing to do anything.

Either way, he sucks and lies.
