I think by last night..

after all the games with last minute heroics down the stretch..

we were just played out.

We did not tackle.

We did not block.

Our coaches had no plan B on either side of the ball.

The Rams had 2 weeks to prepare and were rested and fresh.

We stayed in our comfort zone and got spanked.

I am pleased with our year.

But when it comes to playoff football, on the road..

it shows why teams that have home field in big games usually advance.

More is required from our team.

Maybe because we spent the week celebrating?

The excuses for these players and coaches never stop.

We lose when being 13-3 and being rested- we are rusty.

We lose after being basically the hottest team in football- we are tired.

Teams are able to do this and not be tired by the way. See the packers and giants who won superbowls after needing to win to even get in the playoffs.

Those teams actually had somewhat decent coaching....

Our defense pretty much got us this far!
It's only natural that at some point they will have a let down.
The question one needs to answer was where was our passing game as it was pretty EVIDENT the Rams defense was playing Stop the Zeke defense???
Our passing game only showed some life once we were down by 2 TD just like the Green Bay playoff game....a day and Dollar short!

The Rams were just a better team and had a much better game plan. They made Dallas look tired. I will say the Cowboys injury report was much longer than the Rams and those injuries may have been a factor. But what we saw last night we have seen before against the Colts. The Cowboys have weaknesses on both sides of the football. My guess is the Cowboys will assume the OL will be better when Travis Frederick comes back. I agree he is going to help. But the rest of the OL needs to do a better job. The receivers need to learn to block too.

On defense, the Rams made the Cowboys look silly. The Cowboys were not ready for the Rams offense at all. The Cowboys defenders looked confused and slow to react. They had no idea what the Rams were going to run of who was going to get the football. But the biggest problems is they lost the battles at the point of attack. Go back and watch the tape of the last game these two teams played. Its was the same thing in the second half. Every time the Rams got the football, they scored. As good as the Cowboys defense can be, they have weaknesses and the Rams and Colts exploited them.

Colts were the hottest team and they lost. Sometimes the other team is better

Good post. Coaching matters. You cannot play preseason, 16 weeks regular season...and post season of "you know whats coming, but can you stop it" football. Garrets style will not when a Sper Buowl. Your coaches have to be difference makers in the postseason...and Garrett is not a difference maker. Heck, I don't think we would have beat Seattle if Carroll would have let Wilson throw the football.

They may have been tired. But truthfully, this D was loud and brash leading up to this game. I never heard the Rams with much chatter. Lots of Cowboys were talking about wanting to win an SB, except you don't want to win an SB, you earn an SB victory. And whoever came up with that utterly ridiculous name for the D is sad. This is why JG, motivation coaching only takes you so far, this is as far as this clown is capable of taking us. If Jones can not see that, well, enough said. The entire coaching, training staff, medical staff should be shown the door with the exception of Richard and Columbo.

...having the OL beat you down for 273 yrs rushing. ..lol..yeah that will make you look tired.
Cowboys actually thought they were going to take care of business.
A
nother fizzle ending for the cowboys.

..I would give you 10 likes for that post.

I was really surprised.

Typically teams coming off the week of rest start slow.

The Chiefs and Rams dominated from whistle to whistle

It's easy, coaching. We came off slow in 2016 after a bye. When will we change??

I think by middle of 2nd quarter we only had the ball for something like 5 minutes to their 20..... defense was gassed since they played power football and were pushing us around...
