Nah, we can lose to them and still make the playoffs. It's only an AFC game anyway. Those don't help the tiebreakers much.

i dont think you understand. we have to win this game. people on this site are underestimating how good the Giants are and are going to be once they start getting some of their guys healthy.. we have to win this game.

I was being sarcastic. I don't care if we're playing a pre-season game this Sunday. I WANT TO WIN ALL THE TIME!

Not many teams have started 4-5 and rallied to make the playoffs. We lose next week and we essentially need to go 6-1 down the stretch to make the playoffs, as 9-7 probably won't cut it this year with Atlanta, Detroit and Chicago in the WC picture. However, we win and odds are good that we are 8-4 by the time we play NY, and then we only need to go 2-2 in the final four games.

No, no, no

Even if the bills beat us, if they lose next week then it was meaningless. I learned it earlier

Always wondered where people who live in paradise go on vacation. I figured it was like Newark, NJ so that you'd really appreciate Hawaii when you got back home.

All for this week. Then we will need a new thread for each game after that. Seriously, we should look at every game as a must win. All of them. Even if we were 8-0 we would need to see it the same.:star:

Since 1990, 15 teams have started 4-5 or worse and made the playoffs.

15 out of the 240 teams that made the playoffs in that span ain't good odds.

6.25% chance.

That's not how to calculate odds. You'd have to know how many teams started 4-5 and then determine which percentage made the playoffs.

Besides, what previous teams did is irrelevant, because they aren't playing this season, in this division, against this schedule, with their opponents playing our opponents' schedules.

Also, according to playoffstatus.com, if we lose to the Bills, we still have a 28 percent chance of making the playoffs.

a loss here all but eliminates us from the playoffs. we would only be able to lose one more time with giants twice, eagles, and tampa bay. all 3 teams equal or better than us.

and that's if the giants don't get 11 wins.

Yeah, I erroneously used total calculated pool based on playoff teams. I'm guessing that the percentage is pretty low, overall.
