Jerry Jones needs to go sign Eric Fisher and plug him at Left Tackle immediately. Plus, bring back Ty Nsekhe and keep him as your swing Tackle since Nsekhe has proven he can play both Left & Right Tackle positions fairly well in recent years for the Cowboys.

Start rookie Tyler Smith at Left Guard. Keep Zack Martin starting at Right Guard. Keep Matt Farniok as backup to when Tyler Biadasz messes up at Center. Keep Connor McGovern as your backup swing Guard. Terrence Steele stays starting at Right Tackle.

Keep rookie Waletzko on IR. Move Ball down to the Practice Squad.

Problems solved.
Yikes, you have Biadasz screwing up as a forgone conclusion. Sadly, you are probably right.

i agree what would we trot out there should he get injured??

Or if he sucks? It would fall to Ball and Waletzko. I would move Tyler Smith out there first.

If you want to say the Cowboys have no real depth at OT. I agree completely. This team could not sustain losing two starting tackles.

I said RT. What did Steele play like?
He didn't play like a top 5 RT. Collins didn't at all look liked he did in 2019. Maybe sitting out 2020 hurt him, I don't know what it was.

That said, he's almost certainly better than the backups we have now.

As for Steele, some believe he would have kept the RT spot after playing 5-6 games in Collins absence, but Tyron Smith got hurt and they moved him to LT. I don't know if that's true, but I think the general feeling was Steele played better than Collins did.

Well, Collins is paid like a Top RT, and hopefully your right about him in Week 2. Also, the ppl who projected Steele to be a pretty good RT when giving opportunities are right too.

Being paid like a top RT is probably a big reason he is no longer with the team. If they felt Steele could do as well or better at a fraction of the cost that's a big savings against the salary cap. Of course, with the benefit of hindsight it would be nice to have him now.

That's pretty much exactly the way I see it AC.
None of it's pretty but it's about as good as it gets with what we have to work with at this point

very true that 6-0 run stopped when Collins got his RT back, 77 got hurt ,steele did some work at LT..all of sudden we had an inconsistent OL and struggled down the stretch.

before Tyron’s injury the majority of us thought a swing tackle was needed badly for depth, now that Tyron has gone down, we need a starting OT plus that swing tackle

Good news is that if Jerry continues to do nothing we may have a top 15 pick in the first round.
