We have a good idea that Trevon Diggs has the size, length to match up against the bigger receivers around the league, but doesn't possess that long speed to have consistent success staying with the so called burners.

Looking at the division moving forward the Giants #1 receiver is Slaton, Washington has McLaurin and the Eagles currently have Reagor, that's crazy speed within the division. The Cowboys have to counter that with the right type of corner.

This class appears to have many so called big corners who lack that deep speed, the Cowboys have to target the few that do possess it. We really should cross off the likes of Surtain/Horn, unless they run unexpecting fast at the combine or pro days.

Ask yourself, which corner fit this profile? Farley no doubt, Kendrick? Stokes?

Horn is ur speed guy

But Dallas needs two CBS and a S just to push and see what we have in Reggie Robinson II.

It’s partially dependent on scheme, but I agree, if we’re going to be running a decent amount of man Id like someone with better deep speed than Diggs across from him.

I don’t think Surtain will run great, but I’m keeping an eye on guys like Farley and Stokes who I think will fly.

Surtain and Diggs at corners next season would be the best cornerback tandem we have had since Deon and Kevin Smith. I would not complain.

I worry about deep speed with both of them. Wouldn't hate the pick, but rather have another corner who can matchup against the fast receivers in this league. The good thing about Surtain is, he will be a day 1 productive starter, where some others many need some development time.

There are very few speed receivers nowadays. Surtain and Diggs are big, sound, strong cornerbacks. Surtain’s technique is second to none.

I disagree, even just named a few in your own division. You are going to have to be able to matchup. I fully understand Surtain's appeal, but he would struggle against those type of matchups.

While you’re right, I’d prefer Farley because he has better deep speed than Surtain.
Farley has potential but he is older and has only played cornerback for two years. He is a faster version of Diggs. I wouldn’t complain about him.

I disagree. He has never struggled in college. He took out CeeDee when he was a freshman with Murray as a quarterback. Teams don’t throw the ball at him at all. He may not be a Super star but teams will throw the ball at Diggs who is a play maker. We will see.
