Rumors are they may go get Ced Wilson back from Miami. Hopefully Washington is about ready to come back. We haven't seen Tolbert make a impact either.

But on defense we don't have anyone coming to get me excited except Clark. Not sure when Cox is coming. Hankins should be completely ready to start after the bye. I'd like to see a move a defensive player rather than a offensive one.
So we're going to trade a pick for the wr we didn't want to pay for?

If they take Shultz and send a draft pick (5th).

Win-win for Jerry.

Pick plus a high upside young player still on rook deal.

Fergie and Hendershot can carry Schultz water in passing game, and then some as run blockers.

Damone Clark and Jalen Tolbert . Save your draft picks Jerry by having these draft picks incorporated after the bye.
Tolbert can’t crack the active roster, couldn’t beat out Semi Fehoko. Now we’re going to start him in the middle of a season when it seems we could be one or two positions away from really doing something? No thanks.

Everyone is complaining about LVE.

But if he goes down, who backs him up?

Gifford?

Maybe Gifford can do it. He's a good athlete. But I'm skeptical because of lack of experience.

I'd look into finding some depth.

Ok gut your draft in the hope that Amari Coopers ghost is coming to town . I think the talent is in the room you have a bye week to prepare take stock of these draft picks collecting dust on the shelf .

Speaking of which does Jabril Cox have zero future on a team that gave up over 200 yards rushing yesterday . Is he still hurt what is his deal Jerry as he gets out his megaphone telegraphing every move.

Next year I want Roquan Smith. I know he's not the greatest, and the Bears don't want to pay him. He's not Parsons, but he is an impact player. If not for our current defense, I would not want him on the team. He's not going to be a difference maker by himself. But with our current defensive personnel, he would be. Similar to the 2013 Seahawks, none of those players would be difference makers by themselves. It takes multiple impact players to have a really good defense.

Cox hasnt gone anywhere.

Some of these guys like Cox and Tolbert might not be playing because they arent very good

I mean, I wouldn’t GUT the draft, however, this team is a run stuffer or WR away from being the real deal and the object here is to win the SB, so go get one IMO

I’m not sure what Cox deal is, there’s good depth at LB and that could be holding him back from PT.

I hate always being right.

Roquan trade did not require a first.

I don’t think we need a WR enough to trade for one. I’d certainly rather a LB or another DT.

I look at the Bears game as almost a blue print of what we should do most weeks. Lamb/Gallup played 80% of snaps but Tolbert (the 3rd WR) only played 45% of snaps and didn’t have a target….Brown is more than enough if the 3rd WR in a semi-regular role (he’s probably good enough even if it is regular). I liked what we saw with 12 personnel, three TE sets, and Turpin come in for 10% of offensive snaps.

On defense though we’re seeing mediocre to poor play at LB and DT pretty much across the board. A single quality addition at either (even with Hankins) could see big improvement in terms of shoring up the run.

Why do some on here suggest the emperor has clothes?? Maybe mediocrity has settled in all these years.

Huh? You led off with saying that we have no chance with LVE out there. If anyone is fixated on being mediocre it is you.

I am not saying you are one but that type of thing is exactly what trolls do: poisoning the well and then blaming others for it.

We had a receiver that we gave up a 1st round pick for but gave him away to Cleveland.

We might even do as well with 10 men out there, that way a lumbering, feckless, load is not in the way on their chase to the ball carrier.
