Last year when the Baltimore Ravens team was falling to pieces after a 9-2 start, Head Coach John Harbaugh made a very bold move. He fired his offensive co-oridnator and handed the play-calling over to Jim Caldwell. He then completely re-shuffled his offensive line to get his five best lineman on the field. That move gave them the impetus to win a very improbable Lombardi trophy.
This historic loss just may be a blessing in disguise. I believe this loss allows us as a team to make some dramatic changes and then swing for the fences.
If Bill Callahan is indeed calling the plays, They should fire him now. There is no excuse for not running the ball more in the second half of the Packers game. Someone has to be the scapegoat and in this case it has to be the play-caller. Let Jason Garrett call plays again and at least go down swinging.
Next to be fired would be Monte Kiffen I know Jerry may have faith in this guy, but his players have zero faith in his schemes. How can any NFL defense give up 12 TD drives in 6 quarters of football? If Kiffen is still here and co-oridinating this defense expect to see much more of the same. Let Rod Marinelli take it from here and hope for the best.
The next coach I would fire this week is Wade Wilson. You may ask "what has he done to deserve this?"
Have you taken a look at Tony Romo's mechanics this year? They are horrible. He looks no better that he did in 2006 and that should not be the case. This has to rest solely on the shoulders of Wade Wilson the QB coach.
Now do I think any of these changes will actually lead us to the playoffs and a February date in Met Life Stadium? No I do not, but why go out with a whimper with bunch of disgruntled players that don't believe in their coaches or the scheme? At least it may shake things up a bit and improve the temporary focus, The some ole, same ole just isn't cutting it with this staff.
