The line looked good for most of the night, wore down in the 4th.

I agree he'll be an upgrade over Berny.

Agreed. Any word on his chances of playing in KC? I don't like seeing my QB rushing his throws, running for his life, or getting crushed between two defenders like last night.

Bern should be a back up in the worst way.

Would have rather seen Free at rg and Parnell at rt. Waters should be ready for KC but I still would like to see Parnell. More power punch to his game then Free.

Waters will be an instant upgrade over him but he'll be a very good swing guard back up.

Yeah, I feel comfortable with our backups. Surprisingly, our strength of depth might be on the O and D lines. We can withstand injuries, even multiple injuries, on each line and it wouldn't totally ruin us.

Parnell can fill in for both tackles. Bern for both guards. Costa for Fred.

Hayden can fill in for both DTs. Selvie for both DEs.

I don't think we can withstand injuries at any other position group. We saw what happened last season when Sean Lee and Bruce Carter went down. If Carr went down, our secondary would suffer big time. Same with Church. Then you look at Dez, Witten and, God forbid, Romo.

I thought pass protection was solid last night. Run blocking is another story.

you sure about that? i saw him get completely owned in pass protection at least 3 times, where he was literally throw back like a rag doll. bernie is garbage, backup material at best. no way he should be starting on any team.

I meant oline as a hole. Not just one player. My bad on the confusion.

my bad, youre right as a whole but since this thread was about bernie, i assumed you were talking solely about him.

If he's ready to go then suit him up. Mack is a strong guard and just gets out of position a lot. I think him rotating in and out will keep him fresh and it takes some pressure off of him.

Bernadeau has good size and ability for the position , but he plays soft , very soft. He was the same player now that he was with the Panthers which makes his signing even worse.

his play reminds me of holland's. You see the tools and skills there but every so often he just completely misses his assignment.

Our pass blocking looked fine but the run blocking needs to improve Waters would improve that if he's anything close to his 2011 form
