I believe i agree with Jerry and i was impressed with Schotty and the prep for the game, and game planning. I am not impressed that we did not play the starters in the preseason, because that would have helped with the rust between QB and WR and dropped balls. playing in Preseason with bullets flying would have allowed them time to work out some kinks in the chemistry. I know people will say they practice all the time. but its different speed when your playing a game. IMO Parsons would have caused the RUN D to fail last night, he would have had a sack or 2 which might have gotten them off the field more so thats a question mark IMO.

Coaches are paid to get players prepared and do game management, so in that perspective i am pleased with Schotty and Coaches in game adjustments and game plan. I am not impressed with the players having so much rust on them. we ran the ball well in spurts its early and they will adjust and get better. the Passing game again needs more work due to no preseason time together. and i believe that is why the WR were dropping balls.

this is not college where you play D-2 School 1st game of the season and work out kinks.... so we need a preseason game to work this out. I dont care if its the 1st game or the 2nd or last but we need 1 of them to work this all out.

We all want to see the starters play a couple of series in game 3.

Makes NO sense that we sit them until the season opener.

So do the Eagles. They had all the penalties, and their top 2 receivers combined for less than 30 yards receiving.

Yeah, totally agree with this. I thought Dak played well considering no preseason work. Lamb had the dropsies earlier in his career, and worked them out. So it's not entirely surprising to see him revert back to that when he isn't get some game reps preseason. I've disagreed with this approach for the last several years. I don't think you can spend the first 2-3 weeks working out all the kinks before you start playing well. Games are too important.

They didn't turn the ball over and drop passes.

They played poorly by their standard though.

Teams barely practice in preseason, so the first month of the regular season gets everybody up to speed
