AND ALL WILL BE WELL!

Another good ol' "We need to these players to go...." thread. Alright well let's try something a little different this time. How about listing the players you want gone and next to them list who replaces them? Because its one thing to want a player gone. Its another to actually have it beneficial for your team if you don't have a replacement(See Ken Hamlin, Bobby Carpenter).

that list can get alot longer if you base it off of production this year:

MBIII looks like he is running on banana peels.
Buehler continues to miss kicks.
Gurode has low football IQ

Yeah, when did everyone become Michael Irvin?

Buehler has kicked much better and has a killer leg. No need to give up on him like we did with Folk. UNLESS...the kid from Nebraska is available to us in the later rounds.

Gurode..wouldn't you have lost some brain cells after a 300# punk stepped on your head?

I could see that.

But newman is our best corner (not saying much) and we have to keep him and his experience until reinforcements arrive.

Easy..
 • Disagree with poster about Newman. Guy is playing injured right now.
 • Dez replaces Williams.
 • Lee replaces Brooking.
 • 1st RND pick replaces Ball.
 • Let's start looking at McCray or Church right now
 • FA replaces Colombo.
 • FA or 2nd RND pick replaces Leonard Davis.
 • Choice replaces Barber (I added this one myself)
What's hard about that? Do you really think we need to invest time in keeping Davis and Colombo. They're statues and only getting older. Do you think they're going to get better or something?

I don't agree at all about cutting Newman or Roy Williams. Roy is the best 3rd receiver in the NFL IMO, and Newman has had a good season. Especially for as banged up as he's been. I think that long completion he gave up to Meachem is too fresh in your mind.

I do agree about moving Ball back to corner instead of outright cutting him though.

I don't know how I feel about cutting Sensabaugh without a viable option in place. We are seeing how cutting Ken Hamlin worked out.

 • Dez replaces Williams. ---- check but i would love to keep RW if he would restructure his deal
 • Lee replaces Brooking. ---- we hope if he stays healthy, which so far he hasnt
 • 1st RND pick replaces Ball.----- if they dont pick a buster
 • Let's start looking at McCray or Church right now---- check
 • FA replaces Colombo. ---- O Line dont grow on trees...must be sure before we start cutting
 • FA or 2nd RND pick replaces Leonard Davis.------- an empty uniform being proped up with a broom stick could replace Davis

hehe. Blocking dummies from the practice field would be an upgrade. YOur comment on Colombo didn't quite make sense. If we're replacing him with a FA you'd like to think you knew if they were good or not. Marcus McNeil for example... But then again, we are talking about the Cowboys and their ability to evaluate Olinemen.

ok nevermind..

Too easy.

newman replaced by McCann, Teddy Williams, AOA or draft choice.
roy williams replaced by Ogletree, Hurd, Holley, or draft choice.
brooking replaced by Lee, Williams, or draft choice
sensabaugh replaced by Church
columbo replaced by Sam Young, Brewster, or draft choice
leonard davis replaced by Bright
Gurode replaced by Costa

All these changes could take place today and the team would be no worse off. And these young players will get valuable experience.

We would be MUCH worse off with all of those changes, let alone several. Lee is the only one of those guys who is anywhere close to being able to start in anything but an extreme emergency. Some of them aren't even on the roster.

Can you imagine a right side of the line consisting of Costa, Bright and Brewster trying to block against the Williams Wall or the Giants? It would be disastrous.

Okay, these are all nice things to hope for, and certainly some of these players should be on the way out, but the team would be worse off if all of these changes were made at once.

I mean, Newman has played poorly much of this year, but are you really arguing that replacing him with Teddy Williams would be an improvement to the team? Come on.

i think despite being injured for most of the year he has played pretty damn well.
