We need to be sellers

I agree that Diggs is probably the only player they might be able to trade financially.

But based on his past two weeks, why would anyone do that?
What is the cap ramifications if we trade Diggs. I’m all for trading Diggs. But what cap savings/dead money would there be?

i dont really know the intricacies of this....but if a team feels they are just a WR away from being serious super bowl threats, could we get more by trading pickens or are we better off taking the pick when he walks? Im thinking probably because of contract, they wont offer much right?
His current contract is pretty reasonable, but every other team in the league had the same opportunity to trade for him before the season that Dallas did.

I don’t see why someone would ‘up’ their offer now.

Unexpected injury that creates a need on a contender.

100%. I think Dak is a terrific QB, but they need to trade him. When/if they're able to rebuild the defense with drafts and free agents, Dak will be on his last year, so trade him now and bottom out for a top1-3 pick with Milton. The Browns would be a legit contender with a real QB. If the Bucs lose Baker (and he's tempting fate the way he plays), then Tamps would be a good spot as they have a championship roster. AZ too, as Kyler is never going to be better than what he's been.
Trade him to Oakland

This team is nowhere close to being a contender. Only move is to sell of what we can and keep building for the future. Of course; big and little will do the exact opposite and start trading off our firsts for spare parts.
who would buy anything we have?

would anyone pay an 8th roung pick for steele and a bag of popcorn?
is Guyton worth a 4th round pick?
would anyone, anyone want anyone from our secondary (perhaps bland).
our DEs are worth 8th round picks or less.

we have nothing anyone wants. we are a bad team for a reason. we have bad players.

We don't got much that any team would want.

Lol and sell who exactly!?

Dallas needs to focus on being 3-3 going into Washington & getting Lamb back.

Also, our defense could improve drastically just by being in a 5 yards area of the ball after it’s snapped.

Ah. That's right. Well, maybe Dak would waive to go to a contender like Tamps or Minnesota, but not likely. Oh well. We're doomed for a while.
Minnesota has three quarterbacks that combined are paid less for the entire season than Dak is paid for a single game. Tampa Bay has a better, less expensive, quarterback than Dak. Both teams are far better than the Cowboys. Why would either of those teams be interested in Dak?

We definitely should be sellers. We aren't winning anything anytime soon and we need to get these astronomical contracts off our books so we can start a rebuild in a few years.

Hopefully Jerry will be the ex GM by then. Sorry to say, but things will probably get a lot worse before they get better.

Obviously I don’t know either…but I’d guess your initial gut reaction is correct. The comp pick would likely be higher than whatever pick a team is willing to offer for 8 games of Pickens. A 25 year old WR is going to get way overpaid on the open market so it should be a 4th comp at minimum. Idk MAYBE we could get a 4th that will be higher than the 4th comp pick?
