We need to practice harder?

So what exactly MM are the guys doing at practice? I know the game against the Ravens I think it was, they said we had a poor week of practice. So do we really have to wait until things really blow up and people get fired to find out how things REALLY are on this football team??? If we need to actually practice harder, what is stopping us from doing so? I'm not saying practice hard and tackle all practice long, but maybe it's simple things like making sure guys are focusing, cut off the music that might be playing, cut off the pampering these players get. Please give your thoughts on what you think it is, and how it can be fixed.....

The team's problems lie deeper than practicing. Coaching can instill focus but individual players can just as easily lose it.

The real question is, "What is the cause or causes for lack of focus?" The answer may not be restricted to the roster and coaching staff.

It's a culture thing, a thing that's honestly been here before MM has gotten here, but it's getting worse obviously.

It's the toxic culture where no one gets punished. Diggs was able to dodge tackles and give half effort because he knows nothing will come of it. That also affects the good players on the team who actually have pride and want to do what it takes to win. There aren't many here but we do have some.

So, more so-called 'better' practicing is not a long-term solution, is it?

Zero consequence if these guys aren't fully committed. Hold out in camp and make a story out of it and jerry will get you paid. Not getting enough playing time? Just go to Uncle Jerry. Don't feel like tackling? No big deal.

CBA. Go look it up. This is where paying attention comes in handy. This was discussed quite a bit several years and with as much as live here, you'd know that.

CBA doesn't say that you can't focus in practice, I know the gist of what it says, and the limits, i'm not saying we need to tackle each other's brains out, but the coaches can maintain a better practice atmosphere

You can't practice accountability. These team has none, a lame duck coach and really a lame duck coaching staff, a QB that gets paid regardless, a WR that does whatever, he is getting paid regardless and your best player on D is more interested on what to talk about for his podcast then anything else. A GM that can't be fired and an Owner that cares more about marketing than winning.

Bear Bryant could come back from the grave and put these guys through true 2 adays and it just wouldn't matter with this team.. I really think once the team saw Dak get rewarded as the highest paid player in history for his average play, it killed the moral of this team. Why be great, we will get paid either way.

Well, I mean prior to the Lions prison rape, they looked good against the run vs. the Giants and Steelers.
Offensive play against the Giants was just good enough. Defense held the Giants to field goals although Giants short pass game was somewhat successful. Run defense against the Giants was outstanding.
Offense was far improved in Pitt game although ruined by redzone turnovers. Should have been a larger margin victory.
Run game looked the best it's looked all year.

And then the Lions game happened.

And...
I got nothing.

Regressed back to the GB and NO debacles.

Mike has said this a few times already. Mike allows complacency and fails to demand these guys be held accountable for anything. I think the way the Jonses handled the offseason set Mike into IDC mode. Sloppy practice, who cares. Want him to give more reps to the worst runner in football, sure thing. Mike is living the dream, getting paid millions to watch this team implode cause no one defeats the wimpy culture Jerry Jones continues to instill in all that work for him.

Can't even add those games as those teams aren't good

Getting your jocks blown off by Detroit and laugh and talk about who knows what on the sideline not the least bit interested in what was going on in the game that they were taken out of. Yea, that's the current culture on this team. Long gone are the hot old days in San Antonio for camp to focus on what they need to know and I might add the practice rules are lax and sitting the starters in preseason also contributes along with what you said.

Hard to practice when you have a helicopter landing on the field.
