We need to use Denver's script vs the Giants

They literally shredded the front 7 of the G-men on the ground. If I recall during our first meeting we had great success running the ball. We need to follow suit. The second big mismatch I noticed last night was the Broncos TE Scheffler vs NYG LBers, we should be able to exploit the middle of the field with Witten. Finally, we need to stone Jacobs, Denver had him running east-west not allowing him to get going down hill.

I think we match up well in all of the above and if we can limit turnovers we should take down the G-men and put one of the nails in their season's coffin.

Dude, we WROTE the script. We just didn't stick to it enough to win. Our DBs didn't help much either...

I don't think our O-line is as athletic as the Broncos. And as with all division games, you cannot predict anything is going to work. Take Washington for example. Let's just go up to the meadowlands and end their season.

We were killing them with the running game in Week-2 as both Barber and Felix were tearing them up (220 yards on 25 carries, 8.8 yard avg, 2 TDs). The 4 turnovers (3 INTs & 1 fumble) cost us the game and we still only lost on a last-second FG.

Next week will have a very different outcome! :giants: :starspin

That was OUR script they used for their offense. For a split second, I thought I was watching our offense.

Orton was throwing down field early and often, which isn't his MO.

We do need to use their defensive script.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Their linebackers are painfully slow and are worse now without Pierce. Witten and Bennett should have a field day.

I don't know what is wrong with the Giants running game other than the fact teams are selling out to take it away because they don't respect Manning's arm since his foot injury. He looks like he's got nothing on his throws anymore.

Manning has said that the foot issue isn't bothering him anymore, but that could be all bluff.

I don't think it is so much Manning's injury, as it is the fact that opposing teams don't feel threatened by his wide receivers.

It angers me about as much as not attacking the Seattle postman secondary during that Tony Romo bobbled snap playoff.

Whatever the script the actors better crank it up. Giants on the road. Then the Chargers and Saints(road game) and followed by the pesky Redksins on the road.

December looks like a tough month. Hopefully there is a happy ending written into this script as well.

Brandon Jacobs - perhaps the most overrated RB in the entire NFL.

The fact police are out in force. :)

Just wanted to add that if just one of two fluke plays hadn't occurred deep in Dallas territory during that game:
  • Kenny Phillips 'Immaculate Reception' off the ball ricocheting off the bottom of Jason Witten's shoe
  • Felix Jones fumbling on the kick return without barely being touched
--this week's worthy of conversation would be devoted solely on how can the team duplicate it's earlier victory in the season. Dallas critics have lavished the Giants with way too much credit for their two-point victory last September.

In truth, the final score doesn't reflect favorably on New York's efforts to win that game. Sometimes, the luckier team wins. It happens every single year throughout the world of sports. Brandon Jacobs would never admit who was the better team that day though. :)

Can't we just select from 5 of the last 6 scripts and go with that?

Won't the Giants put Boley on Witten a lot of the time? If I recall he didn't play in the first matchup. He's a guy with a lot of speed and coverage ability. And although you can't compare Witten to Scheffler, Scheffler has incredible speed for a TE. You could see him blaze past any LB shadowing him last night.

I'd love to see Witten up the seam all night, but I wouldn't exactly call it a "lock".

Thoughts?

There's no such thing as a lock in division games. I remember the first game, the giants were supposed to just run it all day on our weak run defense, but it turned out completely opposite.

This is turning out to be a "must win" for the giants. Just the way I want it to be. I want them to be emotionally charged for this game, so we can go up and rip their hearts out.

You got that right. There aren't any gimmes in the NFL. Even the Raiders were a bit pesky yesterday. I'm actually glad we have such a tough December stretch to prevent these guys from getting distracted. No way anybody plans a trip to Cabo with the schedule as it is.

How are we supposed to attack that secondary when our QB was off the reservation?

If Romo played just an average game or even slightly below average game that night, we would have won first time around.
