We needed an ugly, cathartic loss like this

Cowboys needed to purge themselves of a lot of garbage before the playoffs begin. An ugly loss like this forces them to confront things and put their house in order. Things like Dak's checkdown addiction, inability to avoid sacks, horrific red zone offense and also give them a taste of the ref-hosing they can expect come playoff time.

Out of the 3 games (Colts, Bucs, Giants,) this was the most "lose-able" one. Being an AFC opponent, the Colts loss matters little in tiebreakers.

Cowboys also now have to have much more urgency. They now are in realistic (albeit still remote) jeopardy of losing the division to the Skins.

My worry is that Garrett will keep clapping and tell Dak, "no worries Dak, keep throwing 3-yard checkdowns on 4th and 14, at least they're not INTs".

Not sure they "needed" an ugly loss but this will give them a serious reality check similar to the Titans loss.

They need to bench every player and fire every coach.

Either that or get Martin and Tryon healthy, then stop having FGs blocked. One or the other.

This is what happens when you don't have a QB who can take the game downfield with his arm......guys since last season we're watching the same Inept passing game....think the QB has something to do with this ????

I don’t think they needed that at all. They had a healthy amount of false confidence. Now they’re reminded that their QB is one of the lower end starters in the league and Cooper can be stopped if teams make that their goal.

Dallas hasn't beat a team with a winning record on the road this year.

There was NO good that came from that game. Everybody sucked.

This playbook makes Prescott look like that.

Nah if we goin lose it needs to be a bad lost. I don’t underestimate the hindering of moral victorys. Theres no urgency for redemption or improvement when we have moral victories. No lesson to be learn. You learn more from bad losses like this versus tight ones
