We pulled one plug, when do we pull Flozell's

We pulled the plug on Drew Bledsoe and got some hungry youth in there.

I keep reading how Flozell cant stop fast pass rushers and he gets beat often.

So the question is when do we put McQuistan in there... maybe we need mean, hungry youth there too?

If Flo is getting beat already.. and I read on here that more speed rushers are in our future... then why not?

Other than that first series Flo looked pretty good against Freeny. And as long as the offensive line as a whole is playing OK for Romo I don't want any changes.

considering he has been coming off that injury and his play has continued to improve from week to week, I wouldn't pull him this season at all. Mquistan has the potential to get good but he aint there yet or parcells woulda already put him in.

You won't see McQ in there this season unless Adams was injured. Consider him (McQ) "redshirted" for all intensive purposes.

dont understand why you'd want to yank Adams...he gave up one or two plays to Freeney and I didnt see anyone make a play on him against Tampa

he's doing fine

If he has been getting better... then GREAT!

I dont really analyze his game... I go by my fellow zoners and their posts and opinions.... I have learned alot from you all.

With that said... maybe rotate series with Flo and McQ....

When you say that if McQ was ready that BP woulda put him in already.... yeah right.... you cannot say that with any certainty... we know that BP is a little gun shy when it comes to putting in RAW talent....

I think Flozell is just gritting it out this season.

Remember it's only been about 13 months since his injury occurred last year. That's really not that long for a man his size.

We'll know more about what level he may or may not be able to get back to next season.

Barring injury, there's little chance Parcells will sit Adams this year. McQuistan's a 7th round rookie who has shown enough talent/potential this year to surprise/excite Parcells for the future. But next year is another matter. First off Adams will be further removed from his 05 injury, but he will also be in the last year of his 5 yr contract in 07; he'll be 32 in 07.

Next March McQuistan will participate in the Cowboys offseason weight conditioning program which should help him immensely & we'll see in preseason games whether he continues improving; also think he'll be 24(?).

Normally the Cowboys like to resign players before seasoner opener when they in last year of their contract but Adams will be 33 in 07 and do we really want to give him big bucks at that age and for how long. Adams probably wins the starting job again in 07 but I'm thinking we don't resign him until after 07 is over IF and that's big IF we confident McQuistan is a legit starting LT. I won't be surprised if we kept Adams but it's the amount we willing pay him for few remaining years left in his football life vs a young McQuistan. Of course if McQuistan doesn't look like he has progressed in 07 preseaon, we might easily try resiging Adams to maybe 3 year contract. Should be interesting to see what happens.

Well Flo is a good run blocker.
I think his pass blocking ability has always been overrated, but he is all we got.
All in all in he is a solid LT, but far from pro bowl status.
I always thought he was a prototypical RT in the Big E mold.

Yeah, I still wasn't awake when I did that... then I was too lazy to fix it. :)

I'm very disappointed we have not seen McQ in there are the end of some games. Thursday would have been a great time for him to play 2 or 3 series rather than risk injury to Flo.

This is one area BP and I do not agree on at all. Same as last year with Henson and Romo. Had Romo got some playing time instead of Bledslow, maybe we could have started Romo in Jax this year.

You aren't thinking like a real fan now, come on you have to want to change everything just for the sake of change. Even if you are right that Flo did a good job on Freeney and is a good run blocker. Changing him for a 7th round pick that's never proven anything makes all kind of sense if you just think about it. Come on...Tony Romo!

I like WR, DB or DL in the first round. Then a first day OL. We need solid back up RG. :D

You need to be careful about what you hear. Last year, pre-injury, Flo was a blocker rated at 90% (by KC Joyner) and that's GOOD.

And yes, it seems as if Flo _must_ give up about one whiff a game to some speed rusher but he's not a turnstile.

AdamJT13 earlier in the thread said we should wait and see. I'd agree with that sentiment. ACL injuries take about 2 years to totally recover from.

BDC the guy (McQ) has been inactive (I believe) for every game. He can't play.

I'm not dissappointed. With what was a patchwork offensive line going into the season, they have seemed to developed the chemistry that is important for a line to be decent. No need to disrupt that by getting McQ a few snaps. He'll get some, in practice, and in pre-season next year.

I think Flo's injury is going to get better for him this 2nd half of the season. Plus I think the 1st guy on the line that needs to be replaced, whether its next year or not, is Rivera at RG.
