He is the perfect choice for offensive coordinator. He turned St. Louis into the number one offense in the nfl with NFL Europe's Kurt Warner, he also made Trent Green what he is today leading the current #1 offensive in the nfl.

He would take our offensive that extra step into being prolific. I hope we could get his offensive line coach.

Saunders would make Julius Jones and Jason Witten hallmark players in the league. And you could bet that Henson would be the talk of the town before long.

P.S. simply promise him he will be the head coach in two years time, and his offensive line coach, the offensive coordinator.

If zimmer has a problem with this, simply get Dom Capers who is a 3-4 genius.

He would also have to be made Assistant HC...

At 59, I am betting he takes the Oakland job... which would make him available again in about 2 years... ;)

I'd put money on him heading to Oakland in fact.

Personally I think the Chiefs have made a big mistake...

I have nothing against Herm Edwards, but Saunders has done everything asked of him. He is among the finest offensive minds in the game. Mort went so far as to say the he was VERBALLY PROMISED the job.

If this is the case, then Lamar Hunt has some 'splainin' to do...

I agree if it did happen that way, Hunt needs to explain it to Saunders anyway...... I can understand though why they liked Herm on the surface. I would say it has more to do with the offensive side of the ball doesn't really have much to tweak, the D though is another story

I agree, Trick. A good friend of mine is a diehard Chiefs fan and he is losing his mind at the fact of losing Saunders and Solari.

I gotta jump in here and say it would be a big deal to get this guy. Fans up here in KC are going crazy that he is leaving. The impact he would have on our offense is big time gang. Doubt he comes here. But if he did...... :D

If he does not become a head coach as I think he will I would love to have this guy all the way. :)

BP would never bring in an assistant that knew more about football than he did. This is why our assistants are so mediocre, IMHO.

I wouldn't mind All Saunders coming to Dallas. He would make a great OC and in a few years take over for BP. I wouldn't mind Sanders as out HC in 2 years either.

If Parcells is unwilling accept smart coaches working for him, he must have hated having Belicheck as DC, Charlie Weis as OC & all those other members of his coaching staff that doing so well these days. A lot of credit for how well these guys coaching now seem to be going to Belicheck but it all started with Parcells--no matter what Belicheck said in his book.

Admit I would love to have Saunders as OC/Asst HC here, along with his OL coach, etc. And if Zimmer didn't like it, Todd Bowles (think that is secondary coach Parcells pleased with who has been with him long time and fully knows 3-4 defensive scheme) sounds OK to me.

I do think Saunders would accept the job if promise (written into his contract); same goes for his OL if he wanted it. That promise & a real good salary increase over what he getting in KC sure really sweaten the pot. Can't believe they'd prefer either Rams & Raider jobs. But realistically isn't going to happen cause Parcells wants (develop?) his coaching staff to do it the way he wants it done.

Wonder if Cowboys will alow Payton to take along the members of Cowboy coaching staff that he wants--Sporano--and if so who do the Cowboys bring in? Should be real interesting next few days--Parcells has to go outside of organization to select an OL coach; maybe we get lucky & he gets one of the several OL coaches we would like.

Dude if Dallas could get both Saunders and his Oline coach, we'd be set at the coaching position. I think BP brought in Bowles to run the defense. I think BP will promote him and let Zimmer take a unilateral move to New Orleans. He might also bring in Dom Caper if he can put his ego aside.
