It can only mean the Cowboys beat teams up. They are physical. 12 out of 14 isn't an accident. I don't think it's happenstance.

Been saying that all year. Physical teams take so much out of teams especially finesse teams. Just like the saying building in the trenches create champions. .... it makes them physical

Win tomorrow and it takes alot of motivation away from Washington. I don't see Williams playing next week.

CRUSH INDY!

You know the whole team is thinking this. They're sick of week 17 games sending them home.

I bet we go out and SMOKE indy and hang 42 on em.

Yep, and I hope that's part of Garret's philosophy from now until oblivion. You beat up teams, and you give yourself a legitimate chance to win ball games on a weekly basis, regardless off opponent, IMO :) Finesse teams wins only until they meet non-finesse teams (of similar strength)!

I'm still scared. But that's my nature. I was pacing the floor during the dynasty years.

I've always had this Colts game as a loss. If they do lose tomorrow then it's a real nail biter next week.

Pacing. Yes all too familiar. Chalk it up to Post traumatic stress from 2 incidents. The catch from Dwight Clark resulting in an nfc championship loss that looked like we had it won. And that nfc championship loss to vermeils Eagles in 1980. I think the Cowboys had that one in hand until a late 4th quarter fumble.

I believe both of those times the boys would have beat the afc team to win the Super Bowl.

I tell you I was so nervous during the Cowboys 49ers championship game in 92 until aikman hit Harper to seal the game that I was leaving the room and running back in screaming "what happened" after every play.

Last week even with a 21 point lead I was nervous. And with good reason it seems as the Eagles scored 24 points to go ahead.

Denver vs Seattle in the superbowl as an example

I am absolutely thrilled that the Beagles lost. What Cowboy fan wouldn't be. But I wonder (there's always a but). Does the Philly loss allow us to relax and play with less stress and more loosely which SHOULD make a win more likely tomorrow? Or, does it make us play with less urgency, which often gets teams beat? Don't get me wrong, I prefer things the wat they are, but I hope the team doesn't relax too much. I want to secure the division tomorrow and not come down to another do or die game in week 17. That's when a team can really tighten up.

Yes that's why that Eagles was so big tonight because if they had won, we were not going to the playoffs because everybody and their mother knows the Giants ain't beating nobody

You do realize we were winning the division regardless what the Eagles did as long as we beat the Colts and Skins. Right?

I didn't ask if you agree about the beagles losing, I was asking does it feel better that we 2 chances to win the NFC East?

I was saying that if the eagles won tonight and we lost tomorrow it was going to be OVER because everyone knows the giants was not beating the eagles next week

Probably, but then I didn't think the Skins had a chance to beat them either. I actually thought the Giants had a better chance beating them because they can actually score.

I always felt the skins had a better chance of beating them because of RG3 and Desean Jackson. Giants have no one on offense or defense

I'll sleep better knowing that if they somehow manage to not get in the playoffs (don't see that happening btw), or don't win any playoff games, it will simply be because they weren't good enough.

If 12 wins was required just for entry, I would have felt like they were screwed over by circumstance. That would have been just a tad extreme; would have been like one of those cutesy Hollywood endings that brings about absolutely no sense of closure. Now it's closer to being a normal year in terms of what is required and they'll get what they earn.

If you really want to sleep better tonight, visit the Eagles forums right now. They are in meltdown mode and it's priceless. I want more than a win tomorrow, I want the Eagles to lose next week against the Giants. Philadelphia fans are vile and seeing them in disgust makes this a moment to cherish.

That's a good question. The hardest part about the NFL each week is maintaining the mental edge of the game at hand. I really wasn't surprised by the loss to the Commanders earlier in the year because we were on a 6 game winning streak and were due for a let up. Does the mental momentum each week come from the entire week preparation or does the momentum come in the last few days or moments leading up to the game? From my own personal experience it seemed like the mindset is set earlier in the week. Just asking from the few that have actually played. The best I can remember (lol) the games we came out flat were games where we thought we had won on Monday.
