Cant afford byrd. Plus I dont like byrds attitude. We already have a team full of check collectors we dont need another one. Dallas needs 7 new starters on d. They cant fork out that for a s even if it is 1 of the 7 we need

Do not agree. One, Byrd is a damn good Safety. Two, last year we restructured down enough contracts to free up enough room for Spencer's franchise tag plus money for Will Allen, Justin Durant, Dante Rosario, and eventually Brian Waters. Without researching the actual numbers, I'll guess that's at least $12M. All of the recent re-signings were set up with restructuring in mind so there is every reason to believe that is the plan again. $12M could easily land you Byrd and let's say Jon Asamoah(G Kansas City Age 25). Remember that although Brandon Carr's deal was one if the biggest free agent signings that year, his first year cap number was only $3.2M. It's doable.

If a CB goes down we are screwed, so it isn't entirely crazy. There was a huge difference in the d when Mo was out. But the D line needs help even if everyone stayed healthy.

He might be the most over paid player in the entire league. I challenge you to get less impact from that money. You'd have to sign a player who never gets on the field.
