Amazing how the story can change. In training camp, many thought the defense would stink, Durant would be beat out by one of the younger LBs, Carter was nothing more than a bust and McClain wouldn't make it out of preseason before quitting. Here we are 6 games later and these 3 collectively are the strength of a respectable defense.

And our DL is starting to gel too. Spencer is getting better. Crawford too. Selvie had a sack today. Wiilson was pressured all day. And if HMelton can show his true form, wow.

There is a world of difference between this defense when Ro McClain is healthy and when he isn't. Dude has been a steal and a revelation.

I'll admit I thought it was asking a lot for him to come off the couch and join the team in camp and be ready to contribute significantly this season, especially given his history. But right now he's just about got comeback player of the year locked up and whatever the team gave up to get him is insignificant.
