We should go ALL-in and do what the Broncos did for Wilson, take the cap hit, and part ways!

Look at the moves we made this off season we were all in, should we continue this model, take the HUGE cap hit just like the Broncos did when the let go of Russell Wilson, and move on??? If they can do it, why can't we?? It's not like we're going to spend the money anyways?? Please give your thoughts

Jerry ain't paying Dak all that money to not play QB for the cowboys.

He's been on record as saying he won't fire a coach and pay them to do nothing all year, which is why McCarthy won't get fired.

The next 3 or 4 years of the team was set in stone with daks extension. He's going to be the QB going forward, regardless of how poorly he plays. The only way he's not the QB is if he gets injured.

Say Dallas finds a trade partner, and it's before June of 25.
His cap hit for 25 would be 103mil(dead). Or 13.3 mil more than his cap hit of 89.9mil.

If after June 1st, 42.15mil dead in 25, 60.8mil dead in 26.

These idiots should be Baker acted from being a GM in the NFL.

Stephen’s cheap and non-creative nature would never ever sign off on such a thing. Jerry listens to Stephen when it comes to cap and contract philosophy. We are stuck with this millstone contract and we don’t have the dynamism or creativity in the FO to work around it. Remember, Jerry defined “all-in” as waiting until the last possible minute to sign Lamb and Prescott to long term, market setting deals. We don’t have the brain power in Dallas to work the modern cap efficiently.

Jerry won't even fire a coach midseason. And Stephen won't double-pay a position with that much invested.

We're stuck.
yet we currently have a nicely paid backup making 5 million for nothing, oh trust me he can do it, getting a rookie wouldn't cost him much. Hey Dak goes out for a few games, he may never get his job back (in 2025)

Why is it so hard for Dallas fans to understand what a no trade clause is?

It has to be the worst contact in Cowboys history. It's unbelievable they did it.

You look around the league and you see SO many teams that move off mediocre QBs. You've seen the Raiders do it, Browns do it, Vikings do it, Broncos do it.....the list goes on.

Dallas? Nah. Our fool of a GM doubles down.

You know, Jerry really does want to win. The problem is, as much as he says he wants to win, his ego is so big that he can't admit that it's him that's stopping them from winning. He wants all the credit. He's always wanted all the credit, and he won't hand over the reins to anyone until he's showed the world that HE was the one who was responsible for the Cowboys 90's success and not Jimmy Johnson. Of course, for the past 29 years he's shown without Jimmy, there wouldn't have been a 90's dynasty. Unfortunately, Jerry doesn't see it that way, and never will.
