We should go RB in round 2 to avoid the round 2 curse!

Last year we got Kneeland, he seems to be a possible good 2nd round pick, but the others we've selected in recent years have not been good. A major need on this team is RB, can't go wrong on the pick, just have to make sure we get a good one. Please give your thoughts

Or a WR to pair opposite Lamb. Either way, both would be preferable to our long-standing trend of drafting injured LBs, project TEs, and head cases (Randy Gregory).

If we have to go RB because we want to avoid a curse, there are far bigger issues with this team.

Do you know how a curse works? We take a RB in the second and his career is doomed to injuries or character problems. We have to wait until the third round to take an RB and waste that second-round pick on a position we don't need, like tight end.

There will be good players at 44 regardless of position.

Kneelands a jag. Last good 2nd rounder was Diggs.

How the hell do you know what he is at this point?
It is early, but his ceiling is Greg Ellis. He didn't sack that much at a directional school. I would have liked him better in the 4th or 5th. He is not a pass rusher which is a very useful skill as a DE. But the Joneses like to light 2nd round picks on fire most years  .

kaleb johnson,iowa.
omarion hampton,north carolina.
i'd love either one in rd2...unless one of those really good dt's are there.

The one time they went with the favored consensus pick — Trevon Diggs — they nailed it.
2019 Trysten Hill
2020 Trevon Diggs
2021 Kelvin Joseph
2022 Sam Williams
2023 Luke Schoomaker
2024 Marshawn Kneeland

That still has some pretty fair players mingled in the roster.
