He's produced from the same loins as JJ Watt. I would have drafted him on that alone.

Well since we are going back in the past, I wish the Niners didn't jump us one draft spot to get Jerry Rice and I wish we would have drafted Tom Brady. I mean it is not like we did not have 6 chances to get him before the Pats did.

It was the Browns. Plus the QB was holding the ball ALL DAY on those two sacks. Then he underthrew that pass that Watt intercepted. Let's see him do that against a REAL QB. Not a ROOKIE.

The Boys missed out on JJ Watt. Lol. Deacon Jones was a 14th rounder and we missed out on him as well. Richard Dent wasn't drafted until the 8th round and we missed on him. They missed out on Kevin Greene in 85. I could go on and on but ultimately hindsight is 20-20.

If TG Watt is anywhere near as impressive looking as TJ Watt, we will all rue the day that the Cowboys passed up on him.

He'd be a specialty player here. A 3rd down situational player. He's not playing WILL LB here with Lee. He can't play MLB. We play a lot of nickel so he wouldn't get a ton of time as a SAM. He's not going to be a 3 down DE here, so he'd essentially be a 3rd down specialist here.

He's better than Taco, but his stats are deceiving.

Both sacks were due to Kizer. The first sack Kiser had a long time to throw, Joe Thomas had Watt blocked and Kizer walked right into the sack. The second sack Kizer had all day to throw and it was a coverage sack.

The pick was an incredible play by Watt.

But I would pump the brakes on Watt other than him being much better than Taco at this point. He basically racked up some stats off a terrible team with a rookie QB that is only playing because his competition was an expensive Brock Osweiler and Cody Kessler.

Taco will be good but it will take some patience.

When you see him starting to bend the edge then he will take off from there.

He's getting there.

Watt shouldn't have been the pick because he is too small to play in a 4-3 as a DE.

There were more considerations that went into that pick besides just that.

Watt had 2 sacks, & several more QB pressures for the Steelers- all vs 10 time Pro Bowler Joe Thomas. He also made a leaping catch for an interception. Not a bad start for the rookie we passed on. Our guy Taco didn't even get on the stat board going up against much lesser competition in the Giants' OTs. Hopefully, Watt doesn't make DROY, but he played with so much quickness & power, you couldn't help but make comparisons to older brother J.J. Also like his brother, you don't have to set a fire under T.J.s butt.
