And if we do.........

Chances are 1 of these 5 guys fall between picks 27 to 20:

Earl Thomas, DB, Texas

Mike Iupati, OL, Idaho

Brian Bulaga, OT, Iowa

Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers

Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State

I'd take any of those players at 27 and with the exception of Dez Bryant would be willing to move up 7 spots for any of the other 4 if only one of them was available by pick 20.

If there are 3 of them still available by pick 20, very unlikely, I sit. If 2 remain available by pick 20, not including Bryant and 1 goes off by pick 22, I move up to the 24th selection.

Dez Bryant I only take at 27 or wait for someone to trade up with us for him because of his value and impact, not because of need.

Agreed, other than Dez Bryant because we don't need a WR unless someone wants to trade up with us to get him. How about Nate Allen or Bruce Campbell? 1 of those guys should be around and should represent decent value.

I'm not sold on Bruce Campbell and hope someone scoops him up before our pick so that we get a shot of the first 4 players in my OP. Even one of the OT's not mentioned that were rated higher than Campbell before the combine.

Nate Allen would be nice to get in the 2nd but I don't think he'll be around for pick # 59. If we could get Earl Thomas than obviously Allen is not needed.

Campbell in the 2nd, which he won't make the 59th pick either, would be nice.

1 of the guys I mentioned or an OT will be around for us to grab from 27th - 20.

I'm just hoping pouncey is there at 27. I'm a gator so I'm biased, but he plays 2 positions on the line. He's athletic and plays with a mean streak. If Dez Bryant is there at 27 we better be all over him, if he falls.

Out of the OP's list, there's a chance Davis and Bryant could fall, but I doubt Bulaga, Thomas, and Iupati are available when we're on the clock. Bulaga is a definite top 15 pick, and we'll have to move up if we want Iupati or Thomas.

No doubt about Bulaga being top 15 but that just means Trent Williams or Charles Brown could be available.

Iupati may be around for pick 20 and deeper, as well Earl Thomas. Cincy might go after Earl Thomas and a couple of corners are now moving up the board which helps the case of Thomas possibly falling.

We're going to get a chance at a starting player in a position of need whether we have to move up a few picks or get to stay at pick 27.

Either a starting quality o-lineman or safety will be around in my opinion.

I know he's the best center in the draft and I like him also, but I think we should have better options with our first pick.

I wish we could get Atogwe in FA and draft 2 o-lineman with our first 2 picks.

Pouncey, Gurode and Bigg would make for a mean interior. I wouldn't be upset at all if they grabbed him (but I prefer Iupati if he falls to us).

Bruce Campbell has BUST written all over him. He's not a first round talent and was not very good at the college level. He didn't even make the ACC first or second team OL.

Forget the combine crap, which is meant to actually compare players of similar skill levels. Bruce Campbell will not be selected in round 1 unless it's by the Raiders (unless we think we can turn him into a good OG).

I would like to see earl thomas come in or if he's not availible maybe a speedy guy like taylor mays from southern California. And there is good depth in the O-line in the first round for sure this year for sure so that is definately a possibility here at 27.

Trade up! Get a playmaker... Oline is a collective group 1 guy @ 27 is not going to improve the oline for 2010!

Beside we have Doug Free and Pat McQuistan!

Totally agree about Campbell regarding what he's worth. But he probably will go in the first round. I'm hoping it's not us. I'd take him at # 59 though. Wouldn't you?

I do not want to trade up. This is a deep draft and we can get a very good player at 27. I don't want to give up a 2nd or 3rd to move up and get someone who is not that much better than who we could get at 27. Some unexpected players alway slip to the bottom of the 1st. I say we sit tight and see who is there. The only way I'd trade up is if Thomas or Bryant get to 23 or 24 and we could trade 27 plus a 2011 3rd or 4th to get up there for one of them. I wouldn't trade up for a OL because I'd be happy with Pouncey at 27 and he should be there. I also think a sold OT prospect can be had in the 2nd or 3rd.

I agree that we could get another good o-lineman in the 2nd and we should. Picks 22-24 are the most I would move up to also. Would do so for Iupati, Earl thomas or Anthony Davis.

If 3 of the 5 guys mentioned are still around by the 20th pick, which I doubt will be, I would sit at 27 because of of those 5 guys will be there at pick 27. We would never have to give up a 2nd or third for 3-5 spots and that's the point.

It seems to me in a deep draft like this it would be a good idea to stick to the board all the way through. I know Jerry likes to slide around a lot Day 2 and it's served him well over the last few years, but with this much talent on the board you gotta think he should pull the trigger on good players in the spots they have.

This is a key draft. This team is good, but it lacks depth. A couple more playmakers, and some improved depth from the middle rounds could really help turn this team into a perennial contender again rather than just a one off big season.

I'd take any of those 5.
Here is the order showing the possibity that any of them will be there:
Iupati
Thomas
Bryant
Davis
Bulaga

Definitely in that order. I think Cincy will go after Thomas. Iupati is exactly who I want with our first rounder.
