We should trade next year's first to GB for 33

I've done far worse than kill you.
I've hurt you.
And I wish to go on hurting you.
I shall leave you as you left me... as you left her... marooned for all eternity in the center of a dead planet...
Buried alive... Buried alive...

No thank you.

It looks like we passed on King to take Charlton. Why would he then value him so much we would donate next year's #1?

Not to mention we'd have to give them a #2 this year as well to do it.
Trading up not smart
Neither was passing on a better rated cb for taco
I have a very hard time believing that we didn't reach for need rather than follow our board
Following our board has helped build a solid roster. It's not that I hate taco pick, but I don't think he was the best prospect on the board at a position of need

There are 5-10 CB's left that can start for us next year. At least a couple will be there at 60.

I'm not so sure. There is going to be a big run on them in the second. We will have to move up to get a good one.

Except when we completely ignored it and moved away from Floyd, got poor value in trading down, and somehow turned the picks into Travis Frederick and Terrence Williams.

That Frederick pick is what shaped the current strength of our roster.

It is a fair deal for the right player.......King is not the right player

Absolutely no.

Using a first rounder on a corner is nuts. I am so glad they have decided a different approach. Burning next years 1 for a corner is completely brain dead to me for this organization. Its the first rounders that have been carrying the team essentially.

To beat Seattle to Kevin King.

Just out of curiosity, what do you think of Jerry Jones as a GM? Are you critical of him as a GM?

Reason I ask is that I wonder if a lot of those who criticize Jerry also come up with hair-brained ideas, some real doozies.

If Jerry were to do this, 99% of the posters here would probably rake him over the coals if he did what you are proposing.

I am not sure GB would trade 33 this year for the odds of a 20-25 next year. That would be a bad deal for them. I think it would be a great deal for us though.

I don't have an opinion on King though - I am just talking about trade value.

the last 1st round grade the cowboys have on a player is King. King was higher on their board than Taco. I would trade the 32nd pick next year for Kevin King this year. Unfortunately we would need to probably throw in a 3rd as well.

That's too rich for my blood we have a nice stable core here and need to keep hitting doubles imo. Bc if king busts like Claiborne did then you lost all that. So you can have king or like tabor and Marcus Williams

Im with you. We can pickup a nice vet after June 1st at cb anyway. Cb should be devalued for Thai franchise for several reasons. We've lost twice now to Aaron Rodgers Bc our front 7 is slow and can't get to the qb. we expect to lead early and often so we should be looking at even more pass rush
