One thing that was blatantly obvious last year is the need for more speed at the WR position.
The recent WR FA signings don't solve that issue.
It will be hard to pass up Ridley if he is available in the Draft.
I'm sure there are other WR's in the draft that possess the necessary speed but I think Ridley is the most play-ready. He's not a burner but he does have good speed to threaten the 2nd level.

Debatable whether Thompson still has the same velocity as he did coming out of college, and that had made him a KO return option. But he at least has the reputation of someone who can fly.

So we're going to sign 2 WRs and spend our first round pick on another one?

Add in the threat of a Rico straight up the seam..........straight line is the fastest way, to big for a S, to fast for most LBrs, big enough target even Dak can hit it....forces LBrs to drop

all of a sudden Beasley is effective again..........all of a sudden Zeke doesnt face 8+ in the box......

If Rico isnt the guy..............draft someone that can release the passing game pressure at TE

I think people around here are confused...I don't think you will see a lot of deep passes this season, as a matter of fact, I think you will see the opposite...more quick strikes, short passes, West coast / spread style offense

DJ Chark has 4.3 speed and could be had in the second round. I would go LB in the first round.

Unless they are cutting Dez. But I think the FO is going to honor his contract.

Didn’t Thompson have a 109 yard return this past season... in the video he was flying
That was a missed FG return. Not exactly facing the same thing as a normal KO return. In that alignment, he better have been the fastest player on the field.

I get that Alexander, I just mean watching him actually
Run down the sideline, he was hauling ***.

Would they opt to draft a TE over a WR, now? DAL did interview th top TEs too. Dak could use a dynamic TE, just saying.

I get your point
But that is what they did last year in the secondary
Not saying I would do that at WR but I wonder if that’s not what they have in mind

Assuming we keep T-Will and Dez we should be fine on the speed department. Dez now becomes solely a possession receiver, he needs to be put in the slot on 3 WR set while Hurns and T-Will become the outside receivers. So we have enough speed to threat defenses deep, but can Dak make those throws to force the 8th box defender into pass coverage? That's the primary concern.

I don’t know about honoring his contract but I do think he stays this year

Whatever speed Thompson possesses doesn't improve his skills as a WR.
We need someone who possesses both qualities. Ridley is a day one starter so there won't be any assuming that he is a one trick pony by opposing teams when he is on the field. I'm ok with getting Moore if the team determines he is worthy and can handle all aspects of the receiving position.

Chark would be a huge reach in the 2nd round. He's a raw project.
